deli is literally the most tone deaf person i’ve ever come across. how can one person come across so privileged unintentionally, and constantly be complaining about their “problems” ? i’m genuinely left dumbfounded at 97% of the things she says.

the door handles being replaced again?? the panelling being replaced again?? the flooring being replaced again??

don’t even get me started on the bathroom needing replaced.. there isn’t a thing wrong with her bathroom and yeah we might not see the water damage or whatever else but neither did she until a workman pointed out someone else’s ‘bad’ work needing redone

sorry for the rant but my god.. and the complaining yet again about sharing an office? there’s room in that house for 2 permanent set ups. infact there’s room for 4 permanent set ups. just shut the duck up.

Complain to your hearts content. She really is tone deaf especially when everyone is currently struggling with this economy but I doubt Deli would see that.

She says the workers have to change all the door handles... They had changed all of them 2 years ago already and they had added locks on all of them before the renovation started. How often do you change door handles

If I was rich and wanted an ugly modern kitchen, I would have made it so that the flooring would have been the exact same wood as the island and going the same way so that it would have been like a continuation of it. I feel like it looks a bit off right now.

I moved houses (and countries) several times in the last few years. In fact, we just moved a few month ago to a new apartment. Managed to do it in 2-3 days and ended up not needing a day off from work.
These two need 2 weeks to move back to a house they own with half of their stuff already there.

I’m so confused. It’s just the kitchen / living area that’s been renovated, right? Why is unpacking stuff into those two rooms so exhausting? Unpacking takes hardly any time and it’s not like they live in a cluttered home with lots of stuff. Can’t believe they are STILL going on about it. I wouldn’t even call it a move

They did change the isolation in the roof, and I imagine they changed the floors wherever the old one was.
However, they rented a storage container, placed in their backyard, and put any additional stuff that might have been in the way there. It's not like they have to do multiple rounds to get all that furniture from their rental place. They stored a lot of stuff in the bedrooms as well, and the tradies moved some of the stuff back in.

They also did not do the heavy cleaning themselves. I'd say the process should definitely be a lot easier than moving to an entirely new house.

And they most likely hired workers to move in the bigger furniture back such as the sofa... All they had to do was empty boxes back into shelves and cupboards... Boxes that they had taken the time to organize properly so they didn't have to run around in different rooms because they have all the time in the world lol. And like Custosmorum said, remember they didn't have to clean the place before moving their stuff back in. e_e

Normal people don't really get to have a week+ off when they "move" (it's not even a real move)... Once again, the privilege here is crazy.
