I have a linen set, and yes, you have to get used to the non-ironed look because it creases easily. Mine wasn't 315$ though, so I might not have invested well.
If the same quality linen set was at Zara, it would not end up in Deli's closet. The price is what made her buy it.
New vlog is up. Deli is not wearing her expensive retainer. It was exciting when she had to pay for it, but it's been over two weeks now so the excitement's worn off.
She's pointing out that she's buying treats for the tradies. "My love language is gift giving."- has been gifting family and friends socks for years claiming that they do not do big gifts for Christmas, while they helped her pay for Bowser and rent.
It simply had to be filmed that she went to "the best place" to, so generously, get donuts for the tradies. See, she cares for the regular blue-collar people.
Apparently, the bathroom needs to be redone as well, so expect excessive mentions of the poorly fitted bathroom in all future videos until renovation time.
The tradies are also supposed to change all the door handles in rooms. Weren't these handles replaced over a year ago? Anywhoo, they're trash now, as with the flooring.
The tradies even have to put up the TV and paintings for them before moving back in. God forbid they do anything other than unlock the new door. I imagine full cleaning service has been booked these days as well.
Deli yapping about how hard it is to film in that enormous rental of theirs. Had to share some equipment and move some cables, so sad.
The tiles look nice, even though I still do not see the practicality of the shelves - nothing wider than an upright book fits there. Reminds me of the "bestsellers of the month" shelving in bookstores.
I also do not like that the laundry doors take up half the hallway when opened and the long wooden handles on white everywhere are giving midcentury without the "modern" to me.

She says that her dentist noticed she hadn't been wearing her retainer often enough... Can you imagine spending I don't know how many dollars for a cosmetic thing and then not doing the thing ??? Just throwing money out the window I guess we can afford to.
"we've ordered new kitchen stools and dining chairs, they should be coming in February/March and also a couch" (they certainly have a nice budget huh...), excuse me what ? What kind of furniture are they buying that they need to wait months to get it... ?
She says the workers have to change all the door handles... They had changed all of them 2 years ago already and they had added locks on all of them before the renovation started. How often do you change door handles
If I was rich and wanted an ugly modern kitchen, I would have made it so that the flooring would have been the exact same wood as the island and going the same way so that it would have been like a continuation of it. I feel like it looks a bit off right now.

Expensive ones, @Charlene78. Possibly bespoke, so that it perfectly matches the oak floors, the oak cabinets, oak table and oak handles. There's no such thing as too matchy, right?

She said in one of the vlogs that they are getting compatible dividers. I'd say the dark one is made to measure and the wooden ones are random...FOR NOW. They probably initially ordered only the one, as I have no doubt it's overpriced.

Eh, to be fair, I have a ton of silverware for a single person. Sometimes you just run out of clean spoons bc everything you e cooked recently is spoon food and the dishwasher isn't full and my ass is too lazy to handwash a spoon
I do still think they have more than I do and I have an excessive amount bc I have some from college and several sets (plus, when you say you need iced tea spoons for Christmas, suddenly everyone gets you some and you have more than any one human should have
) But... All mine are from bleeping Target, not $30 a spoon like I'm sure hers are. Bc, you know, you gotta have them pricey spoons or that ramen doesn't taste as good
Also, also... Side note.... Is James getting dumber bc he's spending too much time with Deli? Like, why the hell did this man have to look up how to say 'voluminous' in Australian?? I'm not talking about him looking up how to say a word - we've all done it, even words we know but our brain goes blank - that's not at all what I mean.... I mean the fact that he spent time trying to get it in Australian bc American and British pronunciations weren't.... Working for him?? Sir... It's the bleeping SAME pronunciation, just with a bleeping accent
. If you hear it in America English, you can bleeping say it in Australian. I mean, yes, I get that sometimes American pronunciations from Google are batshit wrong, but once you hear voluminous you know it's right and you can say it with your accent dude

So I haven't watched any of their renovation content because it's entirely uninteresting to me, but if this is what they've landed on, oh dear. Different strokes and all that, but having the two tones be so close yet not matching cheapens the entire look to me. They should've either matched or done a more drastic contrast. Whatever's going on here makes it look like they only upgraded the cabinets and are saving the floor renovation for another time (or vice versa).
And maybe it's just the lighting, but it looks like the cabinets and the island don't match either. Whyyyy. Look, I'm not a design person, I have no idea what's trendy right now, and I don't even like it when things are extra matchy-matchy. But 3 very similar but slightly different wood tones in one space like that is not it for me.
