First time poster here. Just some thoughts on a few influencers:

  • Meg Hutchison: I think she’s great – I find her very real/genuine. Which is why I’m quite surprised she is friends with SA, who is the total opposite. I’ve noticed since the influencer thread on Tattle has become more popular, she has posted way less. Which is sad, as I miss seeing her content.

  • IamSoph: She seems nice/down to earth. My only question is, who is she? I remember a few years ago I came across her insta page and she had 1 million followers. I was like woah that’s unheard of in NZ, who is this person. Googled her, some modelling photos came up and that was it. I thought there was something a bit fishy about it. Anyway, clicked on her profile again a couple weeks later and she had lost around 200k followers in that time. So I can only assume a huge proportion if her following have been bought (just my assumption). Who knows, maybe I’m wrong – but does anyone know how she became such a popular NZ influencer? No hate on her at all, just wondering how she gained the following she has.

  • Simone Anderson: I might get hate for this, but I actually think she seems like quite a nice person. On one hand I can totally understand her trying to capitalize on her “fame” whilst she can and make some good money - at the end of the day she’s working hard to set up for her family and provide – I think a lot of people would do the same in her situation. I think where she goes wrong, and as everyone says, her and her life just aren’t relatable and I don’t think her content is genuine. She is kind of the epitome of a highlight reel and toxic positivity, everything is perfect, nothing is ever wrong. I believe she maybe has some psychological issues around OCD/perfection/control. But the thing that bothers me the most, is how much she shares of her son online – without his consent or knowledge. When she was pregnant, she said she would never share any content of Asher that would embarrass him. Yet, she has posted countless content of this, including a video of when he pooed in the bath. I just feel a bit sorry for Asher as she hasn’t respected his privacy at all and is ignoring the dangers of posting her own child on a public platform and for hundreds of thousands of strangers to see. As a Mother myself, I could never do this, I would feel so guilty. I also can’t understand how she manages to be present with Asher when she is constantly taking and posting footage of him. It must really interfere with her interactions with him. I wish she would realise, that she doesn’t need to share so much with a bunch of internet strangers. Place more importance on being in the moment with your son, rather than the importance of trying to capture those moments. Just food for thought

Trent has always been a fame bleep, and then he met Simone, thought he would be living the good life with getting his name out there, become famous in his own right (Simone even tried to plug his IG a couple years ago to get his follower count up so that he could start get his own sponsorships and paid promotions)… instead he’s just an absolute wet blanket.

Yeah same! Big parties. Everyone unmasked and elderly people. Not worth the risks would have been better to do a small thing with the grandparents separately.

But I wonder why no relative like her mum stepped in and said ‘this isn’t a good idea for your grandparents’ mind you this might be the same parents that bailed her out of the charity donations!

It makes me LOL that she has posted this slide literally every night since we brought it up that they never eat as a family. Have you adjusted your rigid routine to have dinner later Simon or has Trenty boy been given orders to come home earlier 🤭

She is posting these shots, but we’ve yet to see Trent actually at the table with them all.

Please tell me this one isn’t sponsored!? Pop Factory have been a long time fave. I know Brigit sold it last year (maybe, covid years have all melded into one year), but I’ll stop buying from them if she’s been gifted stuff.

And after the last thread we had all mentioned that she leaves him sitting banished in the corner eating his breakfast while she fluffs around, she posts this this morning 🤣🤣

I love Pop Factory & if this is a spon/gifted/paid post I’m going to be very disappointed.
