Yep. So now Aidan can magically enter the apartment - how convenient. She should have kicked him out for that alone. No way should she waste even five minutes waiting for that unseasoned bowl of cold rice pudding of a man.
Ha ha ha. This cracked me up. When ever I’m talking about someone bland and boring I compare them to vanilla pannacotta. There’s nothing particularly wrong with it but it just doesn’t appeal to me and if it was on a menu I would NEVER ORDER IT. But unseasoned cold rice pudding is a good one too 😂. To keep on topic. Haven’t watched the ep yet but look forward to watching later 🫣

I've not watched it yet but none of them have mentioned Samantha this season and no one is like 'What the actual?????' when she rings up? Knowing she was doing the cameo and that it had had massive media coverage surely they could have slipped in Carrie say 'Oh I have a surprise guest' or even talk about her in passing like in the first season. Absolute knobbers those writers.

Why did Carrie leave her bras for Lisette? What a weird thing to do.

I have a feeling that there's a wrong'un someone in the writing team who has some extremely strange ideas about what women do. See also: Carrie wetting the bed, Charlotte experiencing menstrual flooding without noticing, Charlotte teaching her daughter how to use a tampon, Lily announcing to a room full of adults that she plans on losing her virginity. It's all bizarre

i cannot believe i have just found this thread, and on the last episode day.
been howling at your thoughts on the show, you are all so funny. my feelings are the same, most of the show is pure character assassination, things the SATC characters would never do or say, the acting is awful. i rewatch SATC probs yearly, but my partner and i are watching AJLT at gunpoint at this point, its PAINFUL.

Just watched it, I have absolutely nothing to add to what you've all already said, hell, one of you also mentioned Che with her hands in her pockets all the time 😂

The "going round the table" would have had me diving for the bathroom 😖 I just don't care about *any* of them. What a sap Carrie is, Aiden didn't have to do much to convince her to wait 5 years? Piss off! Anthony finally getting bummed was a bit jarring (as I'm sure it was for him!)

I just don't know where another series of this can go, and I'm not even excited to find out- but obviously I'll still hate watch it 😄

I finished the episode where Lily loses her virginity last night and I just don’t know why Carrie was the go to friend for them all. Charlotte is in real distress and panic and Carrie just laughs it off and ignores her worries, obviously there was nothing Carrie could physically do but just a few words to calm her down and offer support to Charlotte wouldn’t go a miss. I get the show revolves around Carrie, but realistically who is going to her for advice? You have a group of 4 friends, where the other 3 are all more intelligent and accomplished than Carrie, have healthier relationships with men, friends and finances than she does, but yet they all go to her. If you’re one of the other 3 you’re going to the other 2 for advice before Carrie.

The episode where she guilts Charlotte into giving her the money for her flat deposit is probably the worst thing she ever did imo, I don’t know how Charlotte forgave her so quickly and pandered to her.

Ok just watched. I mean…… eh……….. didn’t hate it, it was ok.

Pros:
Samantha (obvs) the Annabelle throw back was a nice touch.
The outifts. Carrier’s especially was fabulous.
Miranda becoming more like her former self.
The established couples (H&C, LTW & what ever her husbands called) were realistic during the montage at the end. Anyone in a long term marriage/relationship understands the nuances of just being together trying to work out what happens next.
The return of the chef, he was gorgeous in CSI and has not aged a day, phew🥵.

Cons:
What’s with Aidan putting a very specific time limit on going home?! Surely that’s bizarre. The kid obviously needs support but who can honestly say they didn’t grow up a bleeping tit load between 15 and 17/18?! Would have seemed was more realistic to just say, my children need to be my priority for now, and leave it open ended. Weird. And what if he’s still fucked up at age 20?! Aidan just leaves him anyway, because he’s no longer a teen?! just seemed very odd.
Che. We just don’t need her anymore. Once her and Miranda split she should have just disappeared. Same with the little podcast guy and his vapid wife.

WTAF moments:
Did Carrie really need CB embroidered on her napkins?! Self indulgent much 🙄
I get she made a joke about the bras from the 80’s in the last one, weird she actually left them for the neighbour. Speaking of, felt like they were setting her and che up and then cut to che snogging the bald kid with the box of kittens.?!
Why was that beach in Greece so bleeping windy?! Found that (with the pairing of seemas hat) really distracting

There’s probably more but those are my main takeaways. Will 1000% be back for S3. I’m invested. Annoyingly I give a tit what happenes 😂
