It is hopelessly backward. I started my period at 14 and went to tampons straight away because I swam. I jabbed my urethra a few times but it wasn’t rocket science. How naive and sheltered are we meant to believe charlottes kids are?
I thought they explained she just refused to use them but now wants to as she’s going to a pool party….that didn’t warrant a whole storyline about it though, that was dire…
I had such high hopes for this after the first episode but my goodness it’s been hard work

I had to give up on AJLT by episode 4, I was so disappointed with it, I thought episode 1 had hope, but the whole not knowing how to deal with POC, in the original SATC Miranda baby shower was with lawyers from her office who were a mix of women but all successful lawyers and mothers. And Miranda than dates Robert in S6 and although they allude to his ethnicity, it shows more him being a successful doctor and a decent bf to Miranda but she's still in love with Steve, so although the original SATC was very privileged America, its not like these women never dealt with anyone who wasn't exactly them, but AJLT is awkward and cringe from what ive seen.

I got mine at around 11, and sure it took a few times but I didn’t need parental guidance for several days to know how to insert it. I’m not a moron and neither is the clear child prodigy that is Lily

They know all about cultural appropriation etc but don’t know how tampons work 🧐
It’s quite realistic, they know so much about nothing that is of actual importance yet have no actual experience or knowledge of anything that will actually help them in real life.

Since this AJLT has been a total tit show with pointless storylines, abandoned storylines and the massacre of all the good of the original I think the last epeiside is going to be a fast forward a year style cop out. Carrie is going to be a best selling author with a new boyfriend looking sadly at bigs photo at the end, Rock is going to be fully transitioned while an ecstatic Charlotte and Harry look on, Miranda and Steve will be living in a ménage a trois with Che, Steve is apparently thrilled about it, no one gives a tit about Brady. The professor has a child, LTW is still LTW’ing and Seema is still a boss. Anthony is living his best life.
it will be totally awful, and yet I will still watch it.

Seema should help Miranda and Steve sell their brownstone as part of divorce proceedings - a tiny spark between Seema and Steve. They start dating, she brings him out of his shell. She bags them an amazing home whilst Miranda temporarily moves in with Carrie, who has banned Che from the property, but Che keeps forgetting due to the weed. Brady humps the couch, Carrie gets mad and throws Big's ashes at him.

Ok episode 9..

Things I liked..
- Anthony was back YAY!
- Carrie and Steve’s conversation
- The ring storyline 😢
- Prada guy
- Everything Seema

Things I HATED..
- Where is the continuation, what was the point of the Cleveland thing if you aren’t going to show it?!
- Hmm what old lady thing haven’t we covered yet 🤔 Ah yes the menopause!
- Brady is a rude c**t
- Lily doesn’t want to wear a tampon, then she does want to wear a tampon, tells Charlotte she wants to wear a tampon so Charlotte shows her how to wear a tampon. By the end of this episode tampon didn’t even sound like a word anymore
- Miranda and Charlotte have become caricatures of their former selves
- Everything Che

I was actually enjoying this episode for a good 15 minutes there and then the Che stuff started up again.

Seema is fabulous and true to the original spirit of SaTC. Hilarious when she said 'it's so hard to be white these days'.
Nya is fine but it feels like she's wondered in from a different show.
Charlotte's storyline started off quite funny, and Anthony was brilliant in every scene, but the tampon storyline went on for so long it became very bizarre and weird.
I guess Carrie's screentime was okay this episode - and I liked the scene with her and Steve, even if they still haven't done his character justice at all.
'Miranda' continues to bear no resemblance to original Miranda at all and is just annoying and boring to watch.

I would watch the hell out of that

I hope that series 2 starts with Samantha waking up in London and telling some young guy next to her, “I just had the most awful nightmare. Miranda was getting fingered by this ghastly person and Big had a heart attack and Charlotte was trying to show her daughter her vagina…I have to go back to New York!”
