Has anyone else just been watching House of Games on BBC2 and now feel like they want to slap Clare Balding?

I’m way behind, but I used to quite like her in a ‘she’s so posh, she’s not a real person’ kind of way, but then I listened to her desert island discs and she talked about riding ponies with princess diana and it gave me such an ick. Same with Sandi Toksvig - I used to find her quite charming but her desert island discs was just too much.

I lived in a suburb of Wigan, a neighbour called her son Jean Paul and it had to be used like he was French. Good mother but loud and sweary. She lived 3 doors down and I could hear her shout 'bleeping come here Jean Paul' and then the follow up slap sound. Quite why he kept going to her when she hit him was a mystery.
