Omg I know a Karen who pronounces it Care-un. She’d get so annoyed if you called her Karen! She is an anti-vaxxer and very annoying person.

I work with someone called Claudia who pronounces it Cloud-ia. She’s lovely but duck me took some time to get used too

Has anyone else snapped up any bargains in Asda as they are selling off all Gino branded cookware. I got a beautiful frying pan reduced in the "get rid of Gino from our stores" sale.

When I first lived alone, many moons ago (about 18 years), my mum me bought a set of Gino stainless steel pans on sale in Morrisons. Still going strong and great quality. But pisses me off no end every time I turn thenm upside down while washing to see a cheery "Gino" signature.

My pans are going to need cancelling soon, aren't they?

It’s a “bit” ……. It’s not a nod to dialect of SA or Spain.

I’m not slagging anyone off, I said she’s lovely. But sorry, I stand with her name being pronounced like that because it makes her different amongst the Olivia/Lily/Poppy/Ruby/Mia crowd (nothing wrong with those names either before I offend anyone whilst joining in the name game fun!)

Reminds me of a routine from some stand up comic from years ago. They used to also take the piss out of Sarah Brightman's looks, and, referring to when Sarah and Andrew were together, they said "...... and he was the looker in that relationship" . She was also very strange looking.
