Yeah Paddy was announced a while ago now when Gregggg stepped down because of his 'autistic son' - I can't see why Cherry Healy can't just do it on her own with the other historical lady that does it. Doesn't need an odd male lead

TBH I don't think the chants are intended as homophobic per se - it's just something to chant about. Football is very tribal. The fans find something to mock brutally about everyone and anyone including the ref and linesmen. Being gay does make for an easy target, obviously, but so does being bald, having a mention in the newspapers etc, and as David Breckham famously discovered, having a "posh" wife. ("Posh Spice Takes It Up The Arse" is still a perennial favourite0

I was listening to a podcast with Danny Dyer and Dani dyer and they were talking about the Jarrod Bowen chant.

What is the bbc fascination with him? He ruined question of sport, can't present on radio 2 and seems to be their goldenboy at the minute.
He was funny as Peter Kays daft sidekick in Max and Paddy but I can't stand his overly exaggerated northern accent- I am northern too but he really over eggs it

Nobody ever knew what the fascination with Wallace was either

There's always these people that are on everything but don't seem to have the corresponding popularity amongst the public somehow.

I get that you need experience to be able to present but there are loads of children’s tv presenters and people working in local shows that would probably be brilliant given a chance.
