Hated it from day one! If you're old enough, you remember collecting foil tops from milk bottles etc, for starving famine victims in Biafra. African countries are as corrupt as duck, gold Rolls Royce for the leader? Tick. Food or agricultural help for the populace? Nah. Most aid donations seem to get pissed up the wall Twas ever thus.

They did a documentary a while back about the whole Band Aid/Live Aid thing, and Midge’s ex wife was on it.
She was still obviously absolutely raging on his behalf for how under recognised he was, and is.
She’s since passed away, poor lady, but I absolutely agreed with her.
You’d think Bob did it single handedly, when in reality he simply had the biggest gob, and ego.

Annabel Giles. Yes I remember watching her talking on that documentary about how Midge never got any of the credit. It was nice she was still on good terms with him and was sticking up for him as they share a daughter.

Yep. And don't forget Wham donated all the royalties for Last Christmas (which was number 2 in the charts at the same time) to the same fund...the money will be rolling in for years.....

At least in the SAW Band Aid they invited a few women...I think only Bananarama made it on to the first one, and only as backing singers

Thank you for reminding me of this. I remember thinking at the time, where are the female solos? I think Jodie Watley was also there but very much in the background to the males.

I also remember watching the documentary about it and lots of the artists saying they were most excited about seeing Phil Collins in his capacity as the drummer.

(I mean, fair enough not asking any of Bananarama to sing a solo, but what about someone who actually could sing like Annie Lennox, was she even asked?)

It was more like 15 hours 😢. She also made up a story about how her child had to stay in hospital due to him having breathing difficulties, but it was actually being weened off methdone. She gave interviews about it in hello magazine, all dressed in angelic white and looking sad.
Imagine how the nurses at the hospital must’ve felt with that magazine cover staring back at them from the hospital newsagents.

Connor mcgregors woman is having a rant about his victim who took him to court. She’s as disgusting as her rapist husband.

Dee needs to teach her kids that there are Men like him in this world!

Also Dee, she’s the type of woman who won’t be paid off in shush money to save his reputation. Pair of shits they are.

Don’t you just love it when Dee says they worked through it? Sure Dee, had you been unfaithful multiple times (not a rapist mind you) I’m sure Conor would have been happy to work through it with you, fine upstanding Catholic that he is. All about the forgiveness and compassion.

WTF goes through some peoples tiny minds to write this shite, and then others to like it.

Unfortunately there are still people who think like this. A “friend” of mine, similar age to me, early 60s, said to me the other day whilst discussing this piece of tit “there wouldn’t be any bad men if there weren’t bad women” When I rapidly disagreed with her, citing amongst others The Yorkshire Ripper, she said “that’s what my Dad used to say.” I simply replied well, it’s a cunty thing to say. She isn’t speaking to me any more. Blessed relief to be honest.
