I don’t condone affairs mistresses etc but Dave groom isn’t the first and won’t be the last rockstar who has done this

I don't think it is the fact he is a rockstar that has been putting it about, that is the norm and indeed the motivation for some musicians in the first place (I vaguely remember some 2000s indie band getting backlash for joking that 'they were only in it for the blowjobs').

For me, it's the fact it's been pushed so hard that he is the nice man of rock, a family guy, etc etc that is what shocked me about it all and I think stuck in the craw for a lot of people. Bands like Mötley Crüe are degenerate arseholes but they never pretended they weren't.
