Anyone drink Archers? That was a thing people at work drank when I worked in Croydon.

I have been known to drink Archers and lemonade.

And I remember people drinking a mixture of Stella and Smirnoff Ice

True dat Pernod and black was my first bought drink in the pub, it was 60pish in them thar 80's. Malibu and pineapple. Loved a Hooch when they came along.

Why did we put blackcurrant cordial with everything? Pernod and black, lager and black, cider and black .... when I was 17 I got drunk on cider and black and remember throwing up purple rice cos that's what I'd had for tea. ...

My mother had three types of cancer - oesophagus, breast and lastly pancreatic. She had chemo each time but only lost her hair during the breast cancer treatment. The chemo drugs given for stomach area cancers generally don’t cause hair loss

Teens who started underage drinking after the birth of the alcopop had it so easy.

Too true! My formative drinking was proper cider like Bulmers and Woodpecker or Merrydown if someone had more money. Martini rosso was always a party favourite - I'm not too sure why!
My first proper hangover was a result of Pernod, jeez I felt near to death, for many years I used to feel weak at the thought of it - I worked in a pub many years later and the smell of Pernod was enough to give me the hebegebees

My uni had VK for £1 each and Reef for £1.25

I always felt worse from the sugar than the alcohol. And Reef is essentially vodka and J20, but cheaper.

Ah Vks. All the different colours. Green was Apple, orange, blue which was raspberry I think and then I think there was a white one but I’m not sure. They were cheap as hell and probably full of shite. Got us pissed though right?

As I recall the strong cider and blackcurrant was called a Black Witch. Personally I loved Pernod and bitter lemon- yummy!

There was one in a blue metallic bottle VK Energy. (Before red bull etc were really a thing, I just thought it was catchy name) I spent an evening out guzzling the stuff and all night wide awake with my eyes rolling around in their sockets.

The white one was VK ice I think.
