The kind of person who has the money to ‘buy their way out of trouble’
Kid doesn’t like the area their hotel is in? Get another one.
Kid misses their train? Get another one.
Kid hasn’t eaten a decent meal in a few days? Go get one.
Kid is homesick? Pay for an early flight back

It’s the absolute tone deafness of this woman that fuckin RILES me. It’s easy to let your kids have ‘freedom’ when you’ve got the wealth and privilege to pay them out of any trouble or problems they may encounter.

I actually stopped watching this show due to all the sex scenes. It’s a shame as it’s a good show with excellent plots but….,the sex is really gratuitous and just made me uncomfortable, - we just kept thinking that the director/writer must be a right perv making young actors do this stuff.

Really, is anything private any more.. especially on the main stream telly.. if you want to see a bit of how’s me father.. go to other places.. i would like a bit of decorum TBH.. Ok have sex scenes but let’s use our imagination..

Absolutely this.

I've been in two minds about the whole incident but the one thing I kept coming back too was that I'm sure the kids weren't slumming it and staying in some dodgy hostels in crappy areas. Money buys you a certain amount of safety.

I'll also assume that the kids are well travelled and not intimidated by travelling on their own. The kid lives in central London. He probably uses the tube every day etc etc.

I remember, way back in the day when I was about 13, myself and a friend would often get the train from Liverpool Lime Street to Euston and spend the day running around that there London town. I do think kids are a lot more coddled these days and I was as guilty as the next parent.
