This raise so many questions and I need some kind of deep dive psychological evaluation on it. Who or what is this for? Do they think she’s going to pass by one day, spot it and be so impressed that she says ‘will you be my husband/wife/best friend?’ Would having a secret basement shrine be better or worse than making it this public and phoning the papers to advertise your insanity to the world? Will they look back one day and cringe themselves out of existence at how embarrassing this is or do they genuinely not care?
Tbf (ish) to the person who did it, their kid was part of a gala court for a local gala day and everyone on the court had to "dress" their houses up with whatever theme they came up with. It's just gone viral cause she's in Scotland this weekend.

It’s all just bland beige wallpaper music, and her fringe really annoys me. That’s what sticks out in my head about her more than anything.
the bf is a real catch too/at least Healy didn't go round in pjs ffs . He looks like lockdown chic circa June 2020...

Someone could write long thesis’s on her marketing strategy and how it is so successful.
oh good lord yes... how does she get them buying the same CD again a couple of yrs later... as a Bowie fan they try to repackage and get us to buy again but most of us diehards don't fall for that nonsense

I disliked Taylor and find her music dull but then watched a documentary and I found her to come across as quite genuine and iiirc she got upset about the fact her record company / management were discouraging her from supporting the LGBT community because the Country fans wouldn't like it or something. Don't know if I'm being gullible but she came across well and does seem quite vulnerable and naive in some ways. Will probably get roasted for this but I suspect she is neurodivergent or has some mental health issues that means she writes the songs that she does. They're not my cup of tea, the lyrics make me cringe a bit but I can see why her younger fans feel so connected to her.
What makes you think she is neurodivergent?

This house is down the road from my mate. It was done as part of ‘Gala day’ celebrations and the young girl living there was part of the Gala Queens court. All members of the court had done up the front of their houses - there was Mario kart, Disney princesses, Disney themes etc and was part of the ‘community’ spirit. The houses were judged and prizes given out at the gala day.
I did hear that it took the mum 6 months to complete and that when it didn’t win 1st prize she copped the ‘ump 😂😂😂

Sorry just saw you had posted this too!

That's okay! You knew more than me, I've just seen the article loads on my fb 🤣
Might do some snooping to see if I can see any of the other houses, it's intriguing haha.

I know you didn't ask me, and I'm not a fan of drive-by diagnosis, but I do think lots of her lyrics are nd-adjacent. Being misunderstood, obsessive, trying too hard, oversensitive to rejection, unable to take hints, doing things in secret, pretending, rehearsing conversations, ruminating and pining over people, repetition and wordplay, not being able to live in the moment, not reaching your potential. Music-wise, Labyrinth has a bit of a binaural beats flavour, which is really calming to nd people.

Ah Roths, she must be bad if you’ve stopped following her but still going strong with our Katie Jane’s thread. 😂😘
I lurk on both of those threads. Katie Js is hands down the funniest on this site. I have cried laughing at the comments at times.
My teen girl is a Swiftie, by default I quite like her too as her music is often on in my house.

She’s got a thread on here, I used to follow it but had to stop, the dancing, the gurning and the cardboard cutout Les just filled me with irrational rage
Same. She was so utterly despicable and had zero redeeming qualities I didn’t want someone like that taking up space in my brain. I did pop on recently after seeing her reel making light of DA on my IG and it happened to be as she was threatening, from a distance, some woman on holiday for looking at her bloke. She’s not changed. Foul woman.

I liked WAP.

Bessie Smith was singing 'I need a little sugar in my bowl' way back in the 1930s. It's okay for women to sing sexualised lyrics.

Taylor Swift having parental approval for wholesomeness is the thing that would put me off her if I was a 13 year old.
I think the subtlety of “sugar in my bowl” is a heck of a lot more palatable than basically frothing at the gash! 🤦🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️🤣

It’s people like this that I just find odd. Maybe because I’d be far too lazy to go to this effort haha

I don't mind some of her songs but it's bloody annoying as you she is everywhere at the minute, even in places you wouldn't think she would be but nope, even looking in magazines about decorating and she pops up. It feels like I am in the Twilight Zone at the minute as I am in Edinburgh and you would think it was the second coming with the way people are going on about gigs. We've had tons of huge artists at Murrayfield over the years...Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles. Just a while back it was Harry Styles...all massive but none of them had the fuss and arse kissing we are getting with her like the pipers doing Love Story and adverts for her album on the trams are just some of the stuff going on. Seemingly it's happening in other places too like Liverpool where they have put on a display about her in one of the art galleries.

It was him and his brother admitting they hardly wash their feet gave me the boak. It's funny watching all the Taylor fans defend it because you know that is gonna be one of the first things used against him when they split.

As for the never-ending records, it's a way to keep her on the top of the charts. When Billie Eilish released her new album, she brought more versions out to make sure she would keep the #1. I also have a funny feeling that when she has got as much money as she can out of the re-releases and is done bringing them out, she will just happen to have found a way to buy back the rights for her originals which means all of the fans who threw their CDs out in support will then have to go back and rebuy them.

I don’t want my daughter listening to WAP TBF,- I also don’t want her dressing like a prostitute.
I’ll take Taylor Swift.

So sick of bleeping Taylor Swift. Cases in point:

- the endless pretend relationships that are shoved down our throat
- the endless use of her private jet for 30 minute journeys which makes her one of the worst polluters
- the cynical PR bullshit of positioning herself as this poor wronged girl so that everyone roots for her
- the pathetic girl gang she is always pictured with on purpose
- the mean girl bollocks of trying to screw other artists over like Billie and Katy Perry

Just duck off will ya
