Body shop at home has been around for at least 15 years- they always seems to have things on offer making them cheaper than the shops which is odd.

Everything JPS says seems to be in order to make WS look bad. Shes now saying he first pursued her when he was still with his his 1st wife but she sent him running and he trued again when he was diorced. Every story she paints herself as the heroine and good person in it all.
The Body Shop products are now horrible, nothing like they used to be. Lower quality than supermarket own brand. I sed to work in their store as a teenager and their products, ethics etc were amazing. Really disappointing.

Re JPS/ WS- they have been separated for years now by her own admission so I don't see why she's talking about it. He must be difficult to live with though, surely?

I think Avon and The Body Shop aren't quite as predatory as the likes of Monat, LulaRoe, Herbalife, Beachbody etc. but they are still MLMs so should be avoided.

Also, re the "ethics" of The Body Shop, Anita Roddick stole the entire idea from two other women, lied about charity donations, bullshit about "ethical" ingredients, let the company screw over franchisees, and sold out to L'Oréal

Fully agree Roddick sold out big time. But all MLMs are predatory. 99% of people involved in an MLM will lose money. I think it's awful that Chantelle went in the press claiming she's now happy having a 'normal job' sic. She's being paid to sell her BS pyramid in the guise of her claiming shes now a regular happy well adjusted Mum with a decent career.

Neal’s yard were also taken over by a publishing company and the woman who turned body shop into an mlm then moved onto Neal’s yard and has done the same thing for them.
Neal’s yard consultants are definitely encouraged to recruit
The amount of Neal’s yard and body shop huns in my town , along with utility warehouse feels overwhelming, I don’t know how any of them make any money. And arbonne, tropic, Avon.

One of the films I watch when I’m down and need a giggle is the nutty professor. (Yeah, I know!) and Jada is so bad and irritating in it. Her smug face and rock hard terrible wig is SO annoying. I still watch it once a year though as I love the klumps and buddy love and they make me laugh out loud.

I’ll see myself out….
The fart scene with the Klumps is hysterical 🤣

I attended a conference once in which the founder, Anita Roddick, spoke about businesses having a higher purpose beyond just a profit for owners, that it had to take into account employees, customers and the environment.

But the company was sold and she passed away and now the name is being used to con people into MLM.

The year before her death, she sold the company to Nestle, which is the type of company that Body Shop was supposed to be an alternative to. It is profit-driven, tests on animals, pushes unhealthy products, etc. Today, Body Shop is owned by Natura, a Brazilian company that also owns Avon worldwide, which is also now 100% MLM. Avon used to be a real direct selling company, but switched over to MLM, at least partially in the early 2000s, and now it is just like Mary Kay or Arbonne, and so many others, a recruiting scheme. Avon is in the USA was split off from Avon worldwide and it is owned by a Korean company.

So both Avon and Body Shop, which were formerly trusted brand names and companies, have become standard MLMs like Amway.

I hope that helps. But do not get involved in any MLM. That's my logical advice.

You are not wrong about Chantelle, but I was worried she was using her platform to recruit people into a scheme which will lose them money.

Body shop has had ‘direct sellers’ for years, I remember them from 20 years ago so it’s not suddenly become an unethical company and it’s not a new thing they do.
