“Soliciting” is the key here. Without wanting to out myself, there’s language used in these reports that indicates this was a very, very real threat.

I don’t like Holly Willoughby, I think she’s a nauseating bellend. But I genuinely believe the police have intervened to prevent some kind of Duffy / Jill Dando awful situation here and they’d not have been able to act on this without credible intelligence and source verification.

The next few weeks should be interesting regarding what she does next as there’s no way that level of police presence is sustainable and I’d imagine her life has probably changed quite a lot for the time being (and near future too)

It's literally impossible to tell from whats been reported if it was serious or the "soliciting" was a homebound incel saying something non serious to someone else on an app like Reddit.
Compare it to dando if any evidence comes out, which it hasn't so far.
