It's mad that all those iconic contestants - Matt, Rebecca, 1D, Cher, Wagner, Katie W etc were all in the same series, that must have been one of the highest rated series ever? (And I use iconic only in the sense they were memorable, not that they were good!) And yep what a godawful racket!

The night of the final that year I was on a bad date. One of 1D lived near me and so the mcdonalds where my date took me ( yeah that bad) was full of teenage girls with banners about 1d as theyd got a crew filming from there.

Aiden grimshaw. I’m a bit annoyed that I can’t remember how to put my headlights on when the dark nights kick in, but my mind never forgets an obscure X factor contestant.

Likewise, I forget simple everyday things, but seemingly have forensic levels of facial recognition for actors. I can see someone on TV and almost immediately remember them from some years-old drama, where they may have only played a small part.
