I can ignore him and still think he’s a bleep though
It’s so depressing and frustrating that he’s getting away with it. Hopefully this will have a ripple effect and people might consider coming forward.Walliams just has to be next, surely? Bet the sleazy bleep is bricking it right now.
People said this about Brand too, that it’s all an exaggerated comedic persona, whereas we now know that isn’t the case. And?
Are you excusing his behaviour?
Isn't it funny how all the dodgy fuckers are supporting him? You know, the one's with skeletons in their own closets.
I thought the same re: Scissor Sisters - was quite upset as he seemed nice on Buzzcocks the other night.I kept reading that awful 365 days tweet as being by Jake Shears and being quite upset as a massive Kylie fan and appreciative of Sissor Sisters. Turns out my caffeine levels weren't topped up enough
From an anthropological view, it'd be interesting to see how much my generation has been affected by the wretched culture we grew up with and may be why so few marry and have kids. Life is hard enough.
This misogyny in health care is absolutely rampant unfortunately. I say this from a patient perspective but don’t doubt it happens to female healthcare workers too. This happens in every job sadly doesn’t it. Men don’t get it, I’m sorry but they don’t. It is exactly the same with racial dynamics. I am a white woman, I can appreciate what people go through, I see the inequalities and I in no way support racism but I know I can’t fully understand what people go through. Some people want to learn more, some don’t care and the same works with this. I worked with a consultant (hospital) who bullied the female junior doctors on the sole reason they were women, he would tell them they couldn’t be an excellent doctor because they’re women and will have a family! I had an incident with him where he messed up on something and in the debrief I called it out. My life was made hell from then on with him. He would put his hand to my face telling me to be quiet when I tried to speak about patient care. This went on for months. I reported it. He wanted an apology from me. I don’t my manager I am not apologising but I will meet for mediation to air how we both felt. He declined. I also had another incident (was one of many) where the clinical director told everyone that midwives were pointless (words to that effect) and it was the male doctors women needed (do they duck! I’ve came across too many male consultant obstetricians that they do that job for power over women). He did get the sack eventually but that was because he fucked up on a case big style. I ended up whistleblowing on the whole culture and shortly after lost my job. My union and solicitor asked if I had ever reported anything or whistleblew. The people in my appeal were all men.

In Jake Shears circles Cunty is a compliment, funnily enoughOh no. I wonder how many other people have mistaken cunty Jake for unproblematic Jake.
Cunty Jake guy is just trying to ingratiate himself with the incels and the ‘do your own research’ crowd. Desperately thinking of the foulest thing he could tweet for their approval thus raising his own profile.
Frankie Boyle’s on stage persona appears to hate women. He’s nothing like that in real life. His on stage character is a piss take.
I haven’t accused him of being a rapist, but I think he’s a bleep. You can be a bleep and not a rapist.I don’t think saying words on a stage as part of a stage act is akin to raping women (Russell Brand) or whoring out your special needs kid to the media for financial gain (Katie Price), that’s all. Frankie Boyle is easy enough to ignore.
It’s unbelievable that he wasn’t made the subject of police investigation for violent sexual threats! Surely that can’t be legalAbsolutely agree on both points. Quite surprised at so many saying Boyle is an act and not a misogynist- he literally shot effigy's of Muslim women 'in the tits' on his show.
This is how he responded to a female heckler:
His response to a female heckler was: “I’ll abuse you so badly your gynaecologist will think you’ve been in a f***ing car crash,” and again: “I reckon your pussy has seen more action than f***ing Helmand.”
Was just reading the Walliams thread and reminding myself of the stories from Mums who say he texted / invite their daughters to visit his dressing room.
"There are threads on twitter where teenage girls [are] ... saying he was sending inappropriate texts inviting them to his BGT dressing room. A friend of mine works for one of the red tops and they have been trying to release the story for years. Most recently the summer last year. He has lawyers that quickly shut down any story from going to print. It’s well known in the showbiz and media circles. Rumour has it this is part of the reason he is being fazed out of prime time tv such as BGT."
He might be absolutely fine - I've no idea - but he is/was promoting and normalising ideas that sexual violence is funny and appropriate for women who disagree with you.I'm confused by this. If in real life he's fine with women, why would he have that as part of the act? He must be aware that it's distressing to the women he's speaking to and the women hearing it.
Is it just that the laughs from men are enough to make up for it?
