Yep - worked in ad sales for a while. The rate card for a full page in OK will be in some instances 10s of ks. Thousands for a editorial product mention too. Also, in regards to overheads it won’t be just one title in one building, there will be a whole Magazine/press group working from the same building - lots of editorial and advertising staff will work across the title group - so multiple mags (And online platforms are very cheap to run Along side) All Worked on by the same team.
most print titles are only made for the ad spend now. I worked on titles with a Small circulation of only 30-50k and A very very small team we still gained around 30k an issue on ad sales alone. I would Only be selling on about 3 titles monthly but the company Owned 25 ish (smaller than OK) titles in their directory. So you can imagine monthly rev in ad spend still makes it worth printing!

Those glossy mags are just pages and pages of ads with an article or two shoved in. I suppose if people buy those mags for the hairdresser/ library/ waiting room etc it makes it worth printing.

I can't see Harry in Philip at all to be honest. I can really see William though even though a lot of people think he favours Diana.

I think its really sad that Kate Middleton wanted nothing more for her life than chasing after Prince William. For all his money and status he is still terribly unattractive and how she has managed to sleep with him god alone knows.

They are cheap as F to buy ads in these days though. OK dropped 19% of sales in 2018-2019, reported to be selling under 100k issues these days. Companies don’t do their own marketing usually; any big brand with shareholders reading that the marketing team was paying “tens of thousands” for a single page ad in a mag with 100k readers would be calling for the CEO to be sacked! How many of the 100k readers will make a purchase based on a single page ad that they may just flick past? Print media is the bottom rung for advertising now, giving a film star or pop star £5k for a set of Instagram posts with a direct link to click and buy from is far more effective. Heck, many of the top fashion brands don’t even need to do that, D&G, LV, even the high street shops have millions of social media followers and can market directly for free to people who they already know like their brand!!!
The few magazines legitimately making from ads tend to be owned by Future now; things like computer titles where a lot of the content is reviews or adapted press releases, and where the potential advertisers know that of the, say 50k readers, most of them will be people who regularly buy new products related to the magazines content

I suppose if you have a laser focus on marrying the future king as your destiny then it doesnt matter how unattractive he is or how much he cheats on you. She has secured her future and the future of her children and their children and her family. They have to do very little for a huge amount of reward and security.
Unless Charles predeceased William, she will be Queen Consort, like it or not. She may not use the title but that's what she will be. Just like she is Princess of Wales.
