I’m on the NHS chart at last! i started at a BMI of 51.4 and now I’m at 38.1. Still obese but 70lb down, 75 or so to go.

I can’t remember when I was last on the chart. Next goal is to be under 100kg which I should be next week or the week after.
Amazing progress. Well done 👏

Finally the scales moved! And into a new bracket! Now 12st 13 lbs 👊 start was 14st 7lbs on 5 September so 22 lbs off in 13 weeks including a holiday think I going to set target for 11st 7 lbs so another 20 lbs to go which if I lose at the same rate will take to the start of March 👍
Ooh that’s my goal weight too! Good luck in getting there

Week 5 of Mounjaro - my first week of 5mg.

The last 2 days I’ve had the most disgusting awful taste in my mouth. It’s definitely not related to oral hygiene as I’ve always kept on top of that and have no issues in that department. I’m not dehydrated. Not eaten/drank anything different. I’m thinking it’s related to the mounjaro as that’s the only different thing in my routine. I haven’t had any of the “sulphur burps” I’ve read about. Anyone else had this?

Yep I had it the whole time I was on 5mg. Could t get rid of it. Always felt like I was thirsty and needed to brush my teeth

I'm like this on 2.5mg - constant dry mouth (not dehydrated). I wakes me up, then I have a drink, then I wake up again for a pee and need another drink...

I think you can get dry mouth toothpaste/gel - I have a vague memory of seeing it in a pharmacy a while ago. I've only just remembered that so I'm off to Amazon right now.

They have lots of remedies, but the one I was talking about is called Biotene Dry Mouth Gel.

It’s been a long slow slog for me, but finally hit 3stone (started at the beginning of July) on MJ, after a 3 stone before this on my own over the last couple of years. So I started at a ‘morbidly obese’ weight. To get into the ‘overweight’ BMI, rather than obese, I have 3 more lbs to lose. I had hoped to do this before Xmas, but I am a 1lb a week loser, so I think that’s just out of reach, but I am getting there! Then in the new year I need to try to loose another stone. Maybe by Easter. I will get there!

Despite actually being a slow loser I’ve gone down 4 clothes sizes in 2024. (Started on my own in January then onto wegovy in May then switched to Mounjaro in September). The difference in my confidence level is unbelievable. I don’t get out of breath anymore, I can wear the clothes I’d like to wear, my outlook is much more positive and I’m sure my health is far better.
The downsides are my neck is super saggy and I still look shit in a swimsuit but I’m still a work in progress. This year is the only year in my life where I’ve actually reached my goals.
Amazing that only a few people in my life have commented though but I’d take no comments at all over unwanted ones.

Some really great updates this week! Well done everyone.
Did my 4th injection MJ 2.5mg last night. 7lbs down this morning 🎉 very pleased.
going to stick with 2.5mg for the next month also and see how I feel about going up next year. Suppression still decent for me.

@Ducktalesawhoohoo in the last thread a few people recommended biotin supps. I take a well woman multi vitamin and extra vitamin D and ordering some biotin

Ok so new bracket is great, the hair loss is not, any recommendations on supplements to stop this? Thanks x
Biotin, selenium and zinc and a good collagen gel supplement have been a godsend for me regarding hair loss. I’m at 7 months now and it’s finally slowed right down again (I had very thick long hair to begin with but so much shedding on MJ - more than usual).

Yeah I’m starting to think I’m going to look like the witch out of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves! IYKYK 🤣

Asda now asking for three photos , feet on scales , side body shot and front body shot ….time to get my mismatched underwear on and pose ready for someone to say “yep she needs this drug” 🤣🙈
Makes me giggle when I have to do this after everyone else’s comments on here doing the same on the other thread 🤣
This is my second review in 3 months so they have got stricter with prescribing this drug. No issue with it but I’m still a chonky woman 🤣

I’ve just gone to the medexpress website on my phone, and the link to ‘my account’ in the menu has gone?? Can get in to re-order! Anyone else having this issue?

Yeah I can't see an account button either. Strange 🙃

If you go on the desktop site it shows up must just be a mobile thing
