Plus don’t most (truly) busy working Mums want to downplay the fact that they might be wearing their pyjamas during a school run? I don’t know any Mums who’d want to advertise that, no matter how ‘trés chic’ the pyjamas might be. Most would throw on a jumper/trackies/shirt/leggings, or layer their top half and keep their pyjama bottoms concealed by doing a ‘kiss and drop’.
I think that as per usual Sarah is trying to jump on a trend waayyyyy too late, (as well as putting her own nonsense twist on it, nAcHurAlLy. Because French? Even though the French are known for keeping their outfits appropriate - no activewear outside the gym, for example. I’m sure this extends to no PJs at the café).
Pyjamas as daywear, even pyjamaesque workwear, had its peak years ago, culminating during COVID lockdown. It’s done, Sarah. But by all means let’s see you waltz down Cronulla esplanade barefoot in see-through pyjamas trying manically to convince everyone that you haven’t just escaped from the ward again.
