I agree 100%....it seems to be fashionable to the throw mental health card in now, when years ago people avoided you!! It's an excuse for too many people and their behaviour....and it makes a mockery of those of us who are actually struggling daily.

You can be a narc and have BPD or even NPD, she’s unstable and never accepts any help, she drinks and takes drugs knowing it worsens her symptoms, I have a relative who is BPD and very similar to Sal, lives a life in total denial and always rewriting history. On the other hand I have a friend with BPD who has worked really hard to make her life great and is living happily. BPD does not define the outcome of someone’s life but I think she is so entrenched in her habits and thought patterns she is beyond help
 
Is she going to Lisbon? I was supposed to go last year for hubbies birthday for a long weekend but obvs didn’t go...hope to go again later in year. It looks a gorgeous city break but not sure it’s where I’d take my kids? Been to Portugal with kids but to the Algarve which is lovely and very family friendly. Lisbon isn’t a place in Portugal I’d choose to take my daughter! It looks fab and can’t wait to visit but don’t think it’s Sals cup of tea at all!!
 
The Kate Stewart comment made me laugh,
She definitely thinking Sal go home and be a mum 100% they all talk about what a vile

I had the destructive traits in my early 20s until I was diagnosed then with extensive therapy and medication I got my life back on track with a degree, good job, happy marriage and a child. Of course I have the occasional relapse and I get help ASAP so I don’t spiral downwards. During the worst period of my life before diagnosis I never tried to hurt anyone expect myself. It’s hard work keeping it in check but it can be done if you really want to live a relatively normal life. I hate excuses of well I have BPD so I can’t help it.

Thats a bit judgemental isn't it? I know people good people with good jobs fostering their grandchildren. They brought their children up up the right way and through some silly life choices the grandkids have been placed with the grandparents.
 
Imagine all the other parents at “said” school watching Sallie swan around leading her best life while her mum gets up and does the school run every day.
There is no way Sallie is paying £3500 every three months for a private school. She is too selfish.
kids can be cruel soon enough the other class mates will find these threads and I hope to god her children don’t. The whole thing is one big mess and Sallie only makes it worse by running away all the time.
