Yes Sali chooses to gloss over why she did her Tattle video. It was because she started stalking and emailing Tattlers, using info gleaned from her own forum (in the early days here posters were often naive, including myself, and would post things they had said on her forum. So v easy for Lauren to search and find this and then also our email addresses used to sign up for said forum, for Sali). This was reported to/picked up by Estee Laundry and Sali panicked and made that video making out she and her family felt scared and threatened.

It has a science gloss, I'd say that. It's not really science though. What the beauty industry call a 'clinical trial' just isn't - it's not peer reviewed, it's not even done to proper clinical standards. If there are proper trials done, it's for safety only (rather than results) of things like injectables, which need the safety standards to be licensed as medical treatments. If most beauty products did what they claimed, they'd need to be licensed as drugs. The patents that are purchased make products sound amazing, but you don't need any scientific proof to purchase a patent, which just protects an idea. It always makes me laugh when brands take influencers on tours, talk about 'science' and give them a lab coat with their name on it - it's like little girls dressing up. I seem to recall She Here is very fond of a gifted lab coat, as proof of 'the science'
