I would also say that it's a straightforward person's response.
SC became aware that there was gossip and critical comment about her on Tattle, including some inaccurate speculation. Her response? To come here to set out some facts about the matters being discussed and to say, in an undramatic way, that she minded when there was criticism of people she loved. Number of new Tattle threads afterwards: 0.
SH's response in a similar situation seems to have been, first, to seek to identify Tattlers individually through their social media (people who, btw, hadn't realised they needed to hide their identity) and, as she tells it, to show them that they had been 'seen' and then to block them. Second, when that 'stalking' was being commented on, to post an emotional statement on Instagram saying that she, and her family and friends, were victims of online bullying and trolling. Number of new Tattle threads afterwards: 62.
How different things would have been if, wanting to respond to here, she had simply said something like: 'Just to put the record straight...I haven't received any payment from Charlotte Tilbury...I don't know enough about the beauty industry bullying allegations to be able to comment but of course am opposed to bullying in any context...I'm not being secretive about getting Botox. I've mentioned it on more than one occasion...Of course I'm open to criticism but I mind when that extends to friends who don't have a public profile.'
Maybe SC learned from SH what not to do?
