Or that she - groundbreaking beauty tip incoming! - takes the free cotton buds and rounds in hotel rooms. Wow! Personally I've always spent ages washing and drying them in the sink as I didn't know I could take them so you learn something new everyday from Sali.

I also laughed at the faux-humble 'I don't use luxury brands at home, only on holiday as I don't want to get used to them' speech. Would be so much more effective if she hadn't dropped in that Niod sent her their entire range to try, and that given previous perfume diaries, she'll probably be going home with upwards of, what, £2,000 worth of free perfume in her suitcase?

I know! I couldn't bear to cart all that stuff around.

How could she not have two minutes to check it over and realise she wouldn't need, for example, a full size tube of toothpaste as a well as a small tube of toothpaste or a full size pot of moisturiser as well as a small pot of moisturiser? Or not have five minutes to decant some of the full-size items into travel pots? That glass jar of JVN hair stuff! That canister of gel for her ZIIP!

Oh yes - including the Charlotte Tilbury perfumes. And her Marks and Spencer perfume video she promised months ago.

Article today about glycerin which she has olways loved.

They're all jumping on the spf bandwagon - violette basically spraying the influencers with cash like its spf.

So She Here applies spf, then a spray with spf, then a base with spf, then a liquid bronzer (which she applies like contour and rubs into her hairline and under her chin, rather than like bronzer on the bits of your face which would catch the sun eg nose and cheek apples?) - not sure if that has spf - then a blusher which has spf, followed by a lip balm with spf and finally a setting spray with spf.

Then goes to a lido, sits inside in a jumper drinking wine 🙄

after initially telling readers for years that spf in moisturiser was enough most of the year 🙄 I’m so annoyed at myself that I believed her

She's the sunscreen version of that Naked Gun gif with the people making out while wearing full body condoms. Well, you can never be too careful...

Tbh, if you live in the UK it probably is. The wine she was drinking does more damage than sun. Spf is the latest bandwagon, preying on anyone with anxiety around health/internalised ageism. Plus all the influencers have to use it because of the chemical peels/laser resurfacing etc they are quietly having in the background.

True. Unfortunately no one is pointing out that never seeing sunlight doesn't stop wrinkles because your skin ages from the inside too. But by the time they're old enough to discover that, they'll have been cleaned out by influencers and drowning in plastic bottles.
