I wondered that. No way would they have fitted before.
And @digsydelilah yes she was so delighted with herself about being the first to spot how marvellous the Falconetti dress was, and also very early on getting VW dresses full stop when they were far cheaper.

And she does know wedding dresses don't have to be full on meringues these days? Yet another of her beloved stereotypes like Nanas with cauliflower perms.

Yes, please get a grip ladies. I'm fairly sure you could source your own ugly-ass, Quality Street wrapper-looking brocade fabric and ask any half-decent dressmaker to knock you up a copy of this entirely generic, basic dress. It'll be approximately 1/8 of the price too, so win-win!
