Depressing isn't it. Of course it is her choice, nobody would argue with that obviously, but in Pretty Honest her beauty icons are all women who accept their 'flaws' (my use of word not hers tbf) and she encourages us to do the same. The casual use of language to find fault in a perfectly normal facial feature, and one that requires intervention, is a bit sad. I know she thinks we all dislike her and think she is a 'terrible' person but it really isn't that. She has set herself up as a no BS beauty expert that many women trust and listen to. Wonky lips, wrinkles - all need surreptitious correction. When you set yourself up as a beauty guru recommending products, using your own face as the billboard, you have to be open to more scrutiny than normal. For those not on IG, here is the post
It's so hypocritical, SH has gone on rants about how people shouldn't all look the same and how there shouldn't be one type of beauty but yet she's getting filler to even out a "wonky" lipline!!!
I'm glad an independent(ish!) reviewer says this as it is the sort of thing my mum would like so I didn't want to dismiss it out of hand. I'm getting her instead the book by Lady Glenconner which sounds very good, or the one by the Queen's official dresser (can't remember her name).I was Xmas shopping last week and stumbled upon Rainbow Queen in Waterstones.
I’d been avoiding it because I’m a staunch republican and up until very recently I really liked Sali so I wanted plausible deniability if I was ever asked my opinion on it.
I am now relieved to be able to say - ITS FOOKIN NONSENSE.
thats all.

I hope so! I didn't see that but heard her on Graham's Radio 2 programme and it was great - she was fascinating and funny and they had such a lovely rapport. I think Graham is such a skilled interviewer, he makes it look so easy.Did you see her the night she was on Graham Norton? She was bloody brilliant. Hilarious lady. I bet your mum will love the book.
Unless you're in process having fillers administered it's always going to have been"in the past", surely? In the comments on that post she has admitted to having lip fillers to even out her "wonky" top lip but hasn't had them in a while. So much for just a smidge of botox

Probably busy alerting the relevant authorities about Decca Aitkenhead.Laverne rebuttal in Grazia.
What's Paphides up to?
*to not about.Probably busy alerting the relevant authorities about Decca Aitkenhead.
I see Pete Paphides is busy defending LL on Twitter, not appearing to have considered he may not be particularly objective about his mate's talents. That bunch are unbelievable - how dare anyone criticise their mates! SH favouriting a tweet calling DA a wanker. They all loved her take down of Steve Hilton, which was all over Twitter the weekend it was published. But any scrutiny of them is a hatchet job or trolling or some bullshit.

I was all set to splash out on the nuface after Christmas but just watched Nadine Baggot who says it’s a waste of money. Does anyone here have any thoughts or experience with it? I know we’ve spoken about it before but just wondered if anyone has anything to add! I so wanted something to help my jowls!
I think it's probably more to do with Decca's reputation and possible mutual friends. SH has slagged off Rod Liddle in the past. I don't is she does regular interviews for them but DA interviewed Madonna for UK Vogue's cover story in the summer. It looks like the Grazia interview was done before the ST interview was published.
I momentarily wondered why CM and IK hadn't tweeted support for LL but then remembered they work for The Times. I guess SH is too worried about pissing off a potential future employer.
