I have a Nathan bottle.
Mine didn’t cost £45. It cost £11. That was 10 years ago now. But I look after stuff that doesn’t need replacing (like trainers) because my running gear isn’t gifted.
Can we all give other Charlie a round of applause
for getting up at 5.30 two, yes, two days in a row to go to the gym. Not for work or kids. But for the gym. Charlie, you make me so proud. You should get some SB kit for that really.

What is she on? Why is it even that expensive anyway (also if you're carrying water do it with a hydration pack or a waist belt that holds bottles surely? I hate carrying a drink like that, I just end up dropping them)

I’m going with bullshit, because that’s her account all over and she’s just attention seeking! I’ve been running nearly 30yrs and before kids I reckon I looked ok, never ever had a beep or cat calling in my life and I run in short shorts and vest tops. I run 4 times a week and I’ll usually get beeped at least once in that time. I’ve had guys shout at me and one slowed down to my pace and was staring at me. I run in leggings/shorts and a crop top. Maybe the guys are more scummy in some areas? I’m a middle aged female, and nothing special.

I get heckled by students on their way home when I am out running in the morning. We generally have a laugh that we are living in different time zones and the dog gets a cuddle.
A beep is normally someone I know.
Luckily I feel really safe here (it may be the student aspect) and when I fell over badly at train crossing at an ungodly hour on a Sunday morning a man stopped and drove me home. At one point was I worried about getting into his car. I know some aren’t as lucky or privileged.

I get beeped once every few weeks. I hate it as I always get such a shock. I run in leggings and a baggyish T Shirt, I thought it must happen everywhere, but the men round here must just be idiots.

Anyone know what's happening with Hayley Carruthers? Doing the thing where she's talking about it being an unbelievable tough time at the moment but not actually elaborating. think last time was when she was injured.

Had to laugh that Cat the runner, Bethan and a couple of others went deep in on Sports Shoes's lack of female representation on their latest men's mental health campaign that follows three men and their London Marathon journey.
Maybe investigate first and then come back with the findings rather than irresponsibly pile in early.

Somethings been up with Hayley Carruthers since the Kew Gardens marathon trials. I really like her and liked her story (I think her first parkrun was 36 mins) I hope she’s ok.
RE getting beeped/heckled I used to live in a big city and there was one area where I would ALWAYS get bother. Regardless of what I was wearing.
I live in a small town now and none dares as if they did it would probably get back to their mums/wives in ten seconds flat.

I don't think she's injured because I'm sure I've seen her posting Garmin shots/runs. I wondered if it was more personal life stuff, in which case it makes sense that she might not want to share depending on the context.
I didn't think her London Marathon shenanigans were admirable at all and I hated the way it was presented as inspirational to half kill yourself, particularly when she was obviously struggling with an ED at the time. I agree she looks very strained though and I do hope she's going to be okay.
