Running Instagrammers #15 when content is more important than health

I like the running channel too - Andy is really interesting and knows his stuff (obvs) I quite like Sarah too - however she must be the most optimistic runner ever. Her marathon pb is 3.40 ish and she reckons from that she has a sub 3 in her?! I’d like to know what she’s basing that on, as I think her 5k PB is something like 23 - if you’re not even running 3 miles sub 7, not sure where 26 is gonna come from!! Still, fair play to her if she does it, but it’s a lofty goal & based off nothing so far!!

I looked her up on power of 10 and on there it’s 22.06 - I know not all races are on there but that’s still a way off, especially as she’s been running for a while so she’s not new to it. Even 21 to sub 20 is a massive leap (I never managed it!!) - good luck to her but she’ll have to work extremely hard! Not that many women go sub20 or sub 3 on a marathon - very much the exception, and out of the league of most ‘regular’ runners.
Perhaps she’s listened to too much Anya C who constantly says she knocked hours off just by turning up 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣 (if only it was that easy!)

I’m a sub 20 5k runner and I do not have a sub 3 in me. I used to be convinced I did but i frankly… do not.

Interestingly other Sarah posted that she’s not been running well since Berlin. I wonder if years of underfuelling have finally caught up with her
I hope so, so she can get better, but my hopes are low
