Painfully unfunny. Just saw she's on the Big Fat Quiz of the Year this year, so that will be another one I can't watch

Yeah I remember ages ago she was on the last leg and she just kept slagging off vegans. That was her joke, that vegans are idiots. I'm not a vegan, but come on, being one is hardly shocking or newsworthy anymore.I feel a bit uncomfortable with the fact that even though she is disabled herself, her jokes are quite discriminatory.
Its a bit old hat these days, I know a lot of people who went vegan in 2017/18 and went back to veggie or eating meat a few years later.Yeah I remember ages ago she was on the last leg and she just kept slagging off vegans. duck's sake, is she being ableist by accusing me of being ableist as I'm disabled myself?! Get PIP and everything. She's now saying people who didn't like her set at the rvp are being ableist
And that’s the trouble with today’s society.
Same here. I felt like the only one I could be honest with about not finding her funny etc, was my partner (who feels the same way). It does indeed sound patronising towards her when people on panel shows laugh hysterically at her jokes, because it just seems like "Oh we'd better laugh because she's disabled". Thank you everyone on this thread because I thought my partner and I were, well, kind of.... c**ts for feeling the way we did. Inclusion is important but real inclusion, not token inclusion.God i am happy to see this thread! I thought me and my husband were the only ones who can’t stand her as she’s on so much bloody telly!
Absolutely. If you don't like someone, just ignore or avoid them. They really don't need you messaging them, or tagging them in a post, to tell them what you think of them. That's just nasty.I don't like her either, but you have to be a special kind of head to message her directly to tell her
Only funny people there are Kevin Bridges and Richard AyoadePainfully unfunny. Just saw she's on the Big Fat Quiz of the Year this year, so that will be another one I can't watch
I wonder if she ever asks herself though. I mean, I'm autistic, and sometimes, if I'm aware that someone knows I am, I'll wonder "were they just nice, or did they do whatever for me, because they know I'm autistic and they just feel sorry for me?". And my disability would not be as obvious. She was one of the acts at the Teenage Cancer Trust gig in the Albert Hall earlier this year. The audience could not wait to laugh at her jokes, no wonder she’s got no idea she‘s not funny. It was most bemusing.
