There is no theme to Mairead and Jennys’ but they have a lot more going on than Rosemary and Beatrice. They don’t do anything to create something to talk about.

To be honest I like the unstructured nature of the podcast haha- in fact my least favourite episodes are the pop culture ones or attempts to educate the audience- I just want to listen to chats! When it was running, my favourite podcast was “The State Of Us”, which was literally just two friends talking shite for an hour a week. I love the relatable chit chat style. And in the market for pod recommendations.
They do nothing but attempt to educate and fail miserably. They won’t talk about their personal lives, won’t talk about the classes they’re doing, they do nothing they will talk about and Im sick of Rosemary asking for feedback or content ideas.

I don’t mind the chatty/non linear style of the podcast but I do mind how often they repeat the same stories or jokes. They need to start tracking, in some shape or form, what’s been spoken about. Rosemary makes the same comment about JLos olive oil/no botox claim every couple of episodes. And it annoys me when they make blanket statements about things (usually pertaining to Ireland) that could be easily googled and verified. They could do with a researcher.

You heard their comment about a researcher, they won’t pay for one until they hit some nebulous figure on patreon. They haven’t considered doing it themselves, which is ridiculous given Rosemary edits the podcast herself. They don’t actually need a researcher, they need to be less opinionated and better read on things that are not dragon porn or management books. She does the bare minimum and wants to be rewarded for it. The podcast is years old and it has not progressed at all. Guaranteed there will be huge gaps soon because they never bothered to bank any episodes.

OK so have I missed something is Don gone or just not mentioning him. Thought it strange when B spoke about the new job and needing to be around to drive the kids here there and everywhere, and she spoke of such a stressful year and not just on the employment front. Also the agony aunt part . I genuinely like Beatrice and hope all is OK for her
Someone mentioned the lack of Don mentions a while ago and I thought it was way off the mark initially but since then I’ve really noticed the lack of mentions! As you said especially given the new job etc. really hope we’re wrong but yeh

You’re right that they don’t *need* a researcher, but it seems like the kind of thing R would throw money at so she didn’t have to do it herself! I don’t see how they’re going to boost followers at this late stage to reach whatever arbitrary goal they’ve set to splurge for a researcher. They’ve completely lost momentum.

I’m not a subscriber but the smug face when declaring it. I’ve plenty of disposable income and not saving for anything but I’d be morto spending that on nothing in a week.

I was such a big fan of the podcast, I couldn't wait to listen but unfortunately it's going from bad to worse
The Oscars dress run down was bad enough but the latest episode about make up staples was so bad. They hadn't researched it properly as usual.

Id say he asked her to stop doing the awful impression she does of him.
I actually do like both of them but I found the last episode so annoying. I genuinely wanted to hear their opinions on makeup and I put it on in the car as I was heading to work and I was getting closer and closer to work and they were still bloody bickering about the name make up staples.
I found it so bloody frustrating to have to listen to so much crap about just the name!! Get it sorted or just edit it out but stop with the silly over and back on the podcast. I love a well researched podcast and think back to earlier episodes like the one where Beatrice shared her experiences working abroad and Rosemary's current living abroad perspective did really keep my attention.
Ladies ye are better than this pop culture crap of late, I really enjoy Rosemary's writing (and still subscribe to substack) but I personally don't know a single 40yr old that has any real interest in listening to a breakdown of Oscar outfits or makeup but i still enjoy the podcasts that covers more day to day topics of life in mid west America and Ireland.
Ladies if ye choose a topic please do not spend half the episode arguing about the title etc it's not cute just bloody annoying!!!!
