I know this isn’t a rave thread and I’m really not, promise - BUT I do think she’s highlighting a really tricky situation. Taking away how Rio treated his late wife, imagine trying to navigate life with 3 young children who have lost their mother at such a young age. And then bringing a biological child in to the mix. I saw something yesterday about how it feels on Mother’s Day, and I really felt for her.
I’m 36 and 4 years on from losing my mum, my partner doesn’t know how to navigate Mother’s Day. It must be an emotionally charged day.

I have to agree. She seems like shes doing a good job as a stepmum. As someone in a similar situation its a very difficult day. Rio's kids love her and she had been fantastic with them.

I find it a bit strange and distasteful to go on about it like she does, and she seems hungry for publicity. I don't want to be too harsh on her in case she's genuinely doing a good job with the kiddies, I don't know much about their family life. I think the 3 older kids faces are hidden which is a good thing, not sure if Cree's is.

I think that she thought she would be seen as this courageous woman rescuing these poor children who lost their mother. Maybe it was not as easy as she hoped, and then she has her own baby. She also tends to spend most of her time with Rio and I wonder if the children do not resent her taking his attention away from them when they are all still grieving. It is almost like everything has to be about Kate!

I listened to her on the Parenting Hell podcast a couple of weeks ago. I got an impression of Rio not being very sensitive and her being a massive Debbie Downer.

Quite the achievement for a woman who PROMISED to retire from public life out of respect for his ex wife and the privacy of the kids. Lasted about 5 minutes.

Rio is all over the radio with an advert for some social media app ... he says 'we wanted to create a platform that made people feel 'loved, supported ... etc. etc.'. I wonder if that the same kind of love and support his showed his then wife who had breast cancer and who he cheated on multiple times? Nah, I think I'll pass Rio, thanks all the same mate.
