the cast are young (and cast to their ages) and it’s primarily a school setting so definitely very teenage in places but i found it had a huge amount of depth and the central love story is really beautifully done (even if some of the supporting ones are weak by comparison!) the lead actor is really good too. i loved it and am sad it’s now over

It’s about a Swedish prince falling in love with a commoner at this posh private school. It’s very good (with a typical season 2 slump), has its soap opera moments but the two boys at the heart of it all are just the best.
I remember watching the very first trailer for the show years ago and to this day it’s still the worst, misleading trailer for a show I’ve ever seen
Netflix tried to advertise it as a Swedish Elite and managed to ignore the gay of it all. So glad I still watched it, very pleasant surprise!

It's a brilliant movie, but you just need to be prepared and norlt expect RWRB lol also not everyone finds it as emotional so you maybe fine

For those who enjoyed Mary and George, and who like historical dramas, the BBC drama Gunpowder starring Kit Harrington has been added to Netflix. Its set at the same time as Mary and George.
The opening scene is pretty tense.
