I think the fact that there's not much to watch at the moment and its massive comfort tv after a crappy work day helps a lot too 😀

same 🤣 i’m off work with covid right now and the time is passing nicely.

i have, since first reading the book, spent forever trying to find the fanfic that became rw&rb but no one seems able to agree on what fandom it was actually in. it’s probably long been taken down by now though!

I was wondering this too! Do you have any good fanfic recs? I'm reading All That Glitters (Is Not Gold) atm and it's about the same length as the original book! Hope your Covid isn't too bad!

a lot of people have said that it was bbc merlin fanfic originally (which i can see) with the characters obviously adapted, but casey mcquiston used to write a lot of the social network fanfic and everyone claims that there was a version of this written by her there, but no evidence! i have to know 🤣

i’m halfway through all that glitters (is not gold) too! when there’s brackets in the title you know it’s gonna be good! i really liked these ones so far:

Yeah the final phone call before he flies over to be with him could have been so cheesy. And in a way it was, but the performances just made it work. It was heartbreakingly sincere.

It's number one movie in the UK on Amazon

it’s making me sad that they can’t promote it (though obviously i support the strikes) as they both seem rightly so proud of it. i am enjoying their hinting stories though.

also the fact that nicholas is actually descended from russian royalty himself blew my mind 🤣
 
Well. I LOVED it. 😄 big book fan, have been very excited for the movie as I’m a long time Nick fan. He did not disappoint. I thought he was fantastic. They were both very well cast, great chemistry. And oof, Taylor is just beautiful! 🫠 It is much lighter & a lot less in depth than the books but for the 2 hours they had, I think they did a good job. I laughed, I cried. The V&A scene broke me. I think that particular scene is better than the book. The song choice was perfect. I hope they do a sequel 😄
