I actually don't know, tbh, it might be worth them looking at talent coming out of CSN course, there was a guy on with PJ last week graduated from that course he sounded brilliant. If they keep looking for people with no broadcasting experience they are never going to get a good result.

Spending the cash on a decent well known name would also be a good call. Their biggest mistake was letting KC walk that time

So bleeping irritating, but unfortunately unless they lose about 10k listeners over the 1st 12 months they are going nowhere.

Love to know how many/ if they are losing listeners since though
 
I think that info won't really be available to us til end of the year, figures are out in a few weeks but red will use any losses there as an excuse of its a new show it needs time to bed in the real test is the next 2 quarters, there'll be nowhere to hide there.

But also I'll hit the deck if they have a gain, I'm weary from them in the morning, but most people I know who were red listeners have switched off breakfast, I just don't have that luxury in the office.
 
I'm lucky to be WFH so I switch it off, I just can't. Hate to be in work where I can't do that but I think it's once or twice a week red is on.

I tried to give it another go yesterday but Rob was telling a "funny" story and Jesus I couldn't change the station quick enough. He Def should not be on the radio

Please god if anyone is reading this get him off the station and get someone with presenting experience!!!!! Really making the station bad.
And shows how good ray Foley was that Laura didn't seem as annoying 😂

Well my boss was on holidays so we were able to change the station. I'm no Ross Browne fan and cannot stand the English newsreader they bring in, but 96 are putting together a way better breakfast show, you can tell they are planning behind the scenes.
So back to red on Monday and it actually put me in bad form. It's dragging the whole station down. They are now planning a school tour with listeners, which as a concept isn't a bad idea but imagine being stuck on a bus with those 3 esp dreary Ciara the dullest person on earth.
 
I've taken to listening to 96 and ya I wouldn't be a fan of Ross but they do seem to plan out the show and actually seem to gel aswel

God cant imagine going on that tour 🙈
 
The school tour thing they are promoting is one of the most cringe things I’ve seen in my life - who in their right mind would want to go on it? Like when Ian Dempsey would take people out on a ski tour on the radio show for a week is one thing, an afternoon on a bus in Cork is another…

Was thinking that myself. Saw ciaras thing she said they have to send in video of them doing something mad. Can imagine the eejits/ attention seekers be on that now 🤦‍♀️

One of the lads here just told me that a few weeks back Laura said on air that her car was so dirty she had mice living in it for 6 months and couldn't find them. And about 2 weeks ago she was going on about having head lice and not being able to get rid of it. What a manky witch, and saying it on the radio, what a great ambassador for the station she is 🤮🤮🤮
 
It sounds like none of this has been thought through and with no time to plan properly, it was announced last week I think? Is taking place this Friday and they are now saying if people are worried about getting the day off work Rob Heffernan will call their boss live on air to talk them into it - who in their right mind would be comfortable with that
 
The whole thing stinks of desperation. I'd say the bus will be full of friends and family at this rate. Their bosses must be thrilled to be paying for this tit.

Bad enough expecting people to take a day off work/ someone to mind children, etc at such short notice without wanting them to send in a stupid video too.

As been said, Ian Dempsey would bring people skiing so you'd make an effort - this is being on a bus with them, (potentially*) full of people who like them and go for spin twenty minutes outside cork city
 
Jesus christ lads. First they perform a song together to try and get people to go on the school tour which was pathetic, then they have Laura's friend from cahoots tadhg hickey on doing instagrand/plugging his stage show. Can they not even get a listener to play the quiz?
Guaranteed the bus on Fri will be packed with their family and friends cause I'd say there isn't a listener wants to go.
 
They're still struggling to fill the bus are they? Saw on ciaras ig and I tuned in for two minutes this morning.

In fairness ray Foley would have struggled to fill a bus to go to coachford with a weeks notice let alone these eejits
