So many thoughts this morning.
He would have been too old to be doing a Gold DoE award as a helper I guess?
Also a "sexually attractive 12 year old" ia a horrifying thought in general, but that 12 year old doesn't strike me as the sort of person that would lure anyone in. So this makes it even more awful. As she surely wouldn't have been dressed a certain way or precociously in a face full of make up or anything. Somehow that's even grimmer.
Final point on a sadly similar subject. I used to teach and so had a LOT of quite distressing safeguarding training so maybe I'm super aware of this but if her parents had even a hint of awareness about anything there are several recent pictures of Bentos they would not share with the public and very soon I think Grabzie will need this pointing out. There are some disgusting people out there who use what Grabz sees as innocent in disturbing ways. I wouldn't be putting a good chunk of her output on social media.

I haven’t caught up with previous posts so I apologise if I say something that’s already been said, but they only have two days left of that holiday. TWO DAYS!! They’ve done duck all!! 🙈 I honestly thought they were spending weeks there so all these lazy beach days were like a slow start before they ramped up on some culture, sight seeing, go and see some of the things Australia is famous for…but no 🤦🏼‍♀️ She’s literally flown to the other side of the world to go and sit on a beach every day for 2 weeks. You could’ve hoped on the ferry and done that in France grabs 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 Well okay, maybe not France with the weather at the moment, but certainly in the Canary Islands. But “we went to Tenerife” doesn’t have the same bragging power as “we spent winter in Australia” does it 🙄 God she’s so smug. It really pisses me off as Australia has always been the one place I’ve longed to go, and would be a real “once in a lifetime” trip for me. I couldn’t afford to go before kids, and it’s too far for me to drag my littles at the moment (because I’d want to actually get around and see the country, not spend every day doing the same bloody thing). Where is her trip to Sydney Harbour Bridge? Uluru? Snorkelling in the barrier reef? The blue mountains? You know, CULTURE?!?!

Edit to say: I know those places would require internal flights, they are miles and miles apart. But when you’ve travelled for nearly 2 days including wasting 10 hours in the airport in Singapore, what’s a short internal flight to go and see something amazing and make the most of being the other side of the world? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree, this is a mind-boggling trip. Not only because it is life-on-repeat in classic Sterling style but they did the EXACT same thing a few years ago in the same place. It’s really not worth the travel/air miles/carbon footprint for a few weeks playing in playgrounds - she’s totally blind to it though

Oh god absolutely but the worrying thing is even with a DBS people have slipped through the net.
I was having some training recently we were told why it changed from CRB to DBS. I forget what the crime was though. But yes, sorry I completely forgot he taught abroad. Makes it all seem worse somehow!!
*edited to add it was because of Maxine Carr and Ian Huntley
A DBS will only show if someone has been caught being a p@edo. A clean DBS doesn’t mean you’re not a creepy weirdo.

I think it’s a financial thing. They’re skint - the flights to Oz were most likely a Christmas gift from the Kedgefunds but they don’t have the money to do anything more than go to the beach and K mart, hence why they’re using free local play groups

I flit between thinking they are skint, or thinking that they are pretty well off but extremely tight. I veer towards the latter generally though. They keep applying for planning permission for their upstairs extension so they must have the funds saved up for it surely? But when it comes to everyday living they are miserly gits who would rather walk miles with tired kids than fork out an extra 2 quid for parking.

I think it was a blog of one of her previous Australia trips that made me realise how devoid of anything her holidays are. I was looking for tips for a trip to WA and her blog was just full of.... Nothing.

If you're 'job' (I use that term very loosely) is to influence others, then surely for the sake of that work you would at least seek out some of the main attractions, restaurants, places to visit when you go somewhere.

What have I learned about this trip?
She has very disordered eating
She loves a bargain low end chain store
She's terrified of visiting anywhere new or culturally different
She's skint
She has zero self awareness - to share the utter mundane minutiae of the most boring holiday ever
