The news about the mother of four, Kate Mulcahy, who died in a fire at home in Greater Manchester is awful. The children apparently escaped though the twin boys were only one. Perhaps the older children carried them. The house had recently been put on the market and it’s not clear whether she had/lived with a partner. Her father has described it as a tragic accident but it all seems very odd and like some details are being held back.

And that’s him who said he never hit his daughter, evil piece of tit.

He confessed that he had battered the 10-year-old schoolgirl with a cricket bat and a metal pole.

He also accepted that he had beaten her in the days before her death, causing fractures all over her body.

Previously, Sharif had sought to blame Batool for killing his daughter but in a dramatic admission, told jurors: 'I accept every single thing.'

I don't believe he acted alone and if he did then they still turned a blind eye. That poor girl was failed by a lot of people.

It did seem the father was blaming the step mother for a lot of what happened on the day of Sara's tragic death.
Sara had first fallen down the stairs, that became another child kicked/hit Sara and the father did not see the marks on Sara until he tried to wash her body. The father was told by the stepmother to not call an ambulance as the child who injured Sara would be taken to 'prison'. Oh and the stepmother begging forgiveness from Sara as Sara lay there not breathing.

I wonder what made the father change from blaming the stepmother to admitting all guilt 🤔
The uncle also apparently volunteered to confess in order to 'spare' the other two adults.
All 3, along with the stepmother's sister, who knew what was going on, are guilty! The neighbours could only do so much and seemed to get shut down a lot of the time.
The stepmother told her sister what was going on in that house!

Sara, beautiful little girl, hope she gets justice for all she endured at the hands of monsters who never put the energy in to loving her but abusing her.

I'm really surprised she never tried to claim control and coercion as her defence
From the messages sent by the stepmother to her sister, it does seem the blame was very much on the father.
I don't know why I got a feeling that it would be the defence you mention. In the message exchange it seemed the father 'disciplined' Sara and the stepmother was quite helpless.

Was it the day after the stepmother messaged about separation from the father that Sara sadly died?
Also, messaging to tell the sister to delete messages shows awareness...then again they managed to buy tickets and get to another country!

I hope Sara's mother is well supported through all these details being revealed

I still feel like some of the messages to her sister were the stepmother trying to “cover her tracks”. Not that the father wasn’t incredibly violent to Sara but I suspect the stepmother was as well. It certainly seems like she’s responsible for the bites (for anyone who hasn’t been following the case the father and uncle gave teeth impressions and were ruled out, the stepmum refused to provide them).

I mean she did run away from her family and was abused, she was 20 when they met he was 32. Not excusing her behaviour in the slightest but I think when she's on the stand (if it still happens) she will claim he was abusive to her. Thing is if she had just done the right thing, break the cycle and report him she could've saved sara. She didn't, she's abused sara too and wouldn't submit dental impressions. They all contributed to Sara's death and I worry she won't get justice.

It makes me wonder if he beat his wife too or possibly beat her if she wasn’t violent to Sara?

Oh definitely agree, the messages were very much showing the stepmother as helpless to the father's rule of the household...but this is the same woman the neighbour heard shouting at Sara.
The same woman who said 'Sara is dead, there is nothing you can do for her...save the other child'

I’m following it so reading the horrific details anyway, but I know others on here were deliberately avoiding the details of the Sara Sharif abuse and might appreciate spoilers over parts ❤
I feel terrible overlooking some of the graphic injury details given Sara had to physically suffer that pain.
Sometimes you just need to tap out for a short while but I feel conflicted because poor Sara was afforded that luxury.

All 3 are guilty in various degrees but guilty none the less.

There has been so much cruelty to children over the past year. Tens of thousands, victims of deliberate murder and mutilation; so much suffering. It is very hard to bear.

They all knew the suffering she endured they’re all equally guilty imo, her suffering has ended may she rest easy such a waste of a beautiful life .

Another piece of filth that deserves the worst in life 🤢

Wasn't afforded...Sara wasn't afforded that luxury.

I beg they get jailed & beaten daily. Death would be to good for them. Daily beatings, pain & indefinite fear ...total bastards!
