Can anyone recommend a nice face cream & a nice shower oil/ moisturising cream please? My face is soooo dry and I feel like a chameleon after a shower 😅😂 I’m nearly 21 weeks and never remember this happening when I was pregnant with my son! Thanks 🙏

Has anyone had their bloods back from their screening and been told that theyre low in PAPP-A? i scared myself by googling (should never have done!!) but looks like risk of babe coming early etc etc

It won’t help you now but if your clinical need becomes higher they will get you in, they won’t leave you with a failing placenta. Are you having regular scans? PALS can’t jump you if the medical need isn’t there but can they get you more scans? Can you have them explain why the need was there initially and no it’s not?

I was on the wait list for a sooner date and got it when someone went naturally. Then I went naturally the day before so it was an ECS meaning someone will have got both my slots previously booked. My point is, a lot can change. Ensure the c-section coordinator is aware of everything, I’d try for a face to face discussion, so you’re at the forefront and not being blocked further back down the line.

Thank you for this. ❤️ I did log with PALS and copied in the clinical director for maternity with all my risk factors (6 in total 😩). Anyway, she has replied and wants to meet face-to-face next week to try and resolve.

I’m just so stressed. I have to go to Fetal Medicine today to check baby’s kidneys - feels like everything is a battle at the minute.

All this whilst working FT and parenting a toddler - and I can’t even have a glass of wine!

Can’t you ask to be admitted to the ward at some point from 38 weeks for monitoring, and so you are there and ready if a spot comes up earlier?

Ohh it's all going so fast isn't it :o I can't believe I'll be in my 30th week on friday 🤯 I think our nursery should be almost finished this weekend, we'll be done painting and can assemble the crib finally. 🥰 Then we are only waiting for a dresser and have to finish small decorations (curtains and shelves). It's honestly sooo exciting. 🥹

Packed baby’s bag this morning 🥹 just need to get the last bits for mine and then we will be ready!

Are you packing snacks? All I can think about is food right now. 37 weeks and my sickness is almost under control (my new anti sickness meds work 70%) or the time so I'm enjoying eating. I'm not sure what snacks to take with me.

I feel like everyone I ask this question to has been influenced by tik tok because everyone gives the same answers 😂 lucozade sport, breakfast bars (normally bland belvita) and haribo. Where’s the crisps?? Where’s the chocolate?? I’m not pushing a baby out to be greeted with a dry honey oat belvita 😭😭

Is anyone any good with nub theory guesses? I can't work it out. Baby measures 13 weeks

I can’t do Lucozade sport ever again after I projectile vomited everywhere on my way to theatre last time 🤣. I didn’t really eat much when in labour but the night I was on the ward after giving birth I ate a whole tube of salt and vinegar Pringles and they were the BEST!

with my first I had no idea what snacks to pack but my husband packed a ton of flapjacks in all variety’s and they ended up being very useful after birth as I was left on the ward with myself + baby quite a bit and between the hospital meals I was so hungry and stuff like chocolate and crisps don’t fill you up so I ate so many flapjacks 😂
Snacks that are filling as well as stuff you might fancy like chocolate is a must !

I think I’ll probably leave my snack packing mostly til last minute this time as it’s always hard to know what I might want. My cravings and favourites change weekly atm 😂

Thanks for your advice.

I've got a multi pack of plain hula hoops because they are my go-to salty snack when I'm feeling sick/not well. I really want to take a mini freezer and my stash of ice lollies 😂😂 above anything cause I'm still eating lots of those. If I've not eaten for a while properly in labour then I'll be craving a McDonald's or something.

Yes Ive seen the tik toks with all the dried fruit and granola bars and while that’s all well and good I’ll definitely be packing sweets and crisps 😂 I have a terrible tendency to vomit when I’m in any sort of pain (even mild) it’s just a trigger and always has been. I’m hoping to put in my birth plan to ask for nausea meds/IV so I’m thinking I probably won’t be eating.

after the birth around my chosen hospital are a Burger King, KFC, McDonalds, chicken shop and chippy (like all in the next street) so I’ll be sending partner off somewhere there for me 😂😂

Id have loved any of those after but nothing like that near my hospital !! 😭

Food was genuinely one of the best bits of my home birth! With my MLU births I was given dry toast (they had no dairy free butter) and diluting juice (no diary free milk either for tea/coffee 🥲)

After my HB I had a ham salad bagel with strawberries and dark chocolate and a coffee 👌🏻

Born at 7am and by 9am I was in my own bed with my own food and snacks.

Just wondering when everyone started to show with their first baby if just having one?

I was about 20-22 weeks, and even then it was only at the end of the day after I had eaten etc that I think it would have been noticeable to anyone that didn’t know, I started wearing maternity clothes about 24 weeks onwards ☺️
