We’ve got the egg2 aswell and I really love it, although the one thing I wish it did was fold down with the carry cot still attached I find it such a ball ache taking apart even though it takes 2 seconds 😆

Can I ask which car seat you’re using? Did you get one compatible with the Egg2? It’s my last big purchase and I feel one of the most important ones 😅

I bought my pram second hand off my friend and I bought a joie car seat and just bought the adapters from Amazon! Really easy to use

My friend spent nearly £2k on the icandy peach cerium about 3 years ago and she said her biggest regret was not getting a pram that folds all together so that really stuck with me! I ended up going for the oyster 3 and cybex cloud t car seat bundle as it folds with the stroller chair on it and I liked the backpack haha. I was really torn between the oyster and the cybex balios s lux!

If you can't get to a pram shop for a few weeks then tiktok is amazing for pram videos! Loads of bundle videos, car boot tests, folding demos, car seat compatibility etc. 'Pramtok' as I was calling it was my hobby back in Aug/Sep when I was looking 😆

Another good option for checking out travel systems and prams are the Baby and Toddler shows.

I went to the Manchester one twice when I was pregnant with my first and there were so many to test and play around with.

I got a bargain bundle of Mam stuff and it was where we found the snuzpod.

I'll definitely be going again this time 😊

Does anyone have any recommendations for a travel system? My partner and I have been looking but it's all a bit of a mine field to be honest! There's so many different ones I feel a bit lost :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I'm sure I even saw a FB ad the other day for a pram which you can connect to an app!?!? I was thinking wtf would I need an app for

I’ve got the Bugaboo Fox. You can get a bassinet stand for it so can use it as a Moses basket which I think will be really useful if the baby falls asleep when we’re out as I won’t have to transfer him and risk waking him up by lifting him out of it, just detach it from the pram bit and reattach to the stand hopefully without too much drama.

Like others have said would recommend a baby appointment. We went to John Lewis and the advisor was so helpful because it is all so overwhelming and having the advice and opportunity to try them out is invaluable.

Has anyone had to do the 3 day at home testing for gestational diabetes?
Had my growth scan today and baby is measuring in the 97th percentile 😳 and I’ve missed the cut off for the blood test with the drink so they’ve sent me away with the at home kit.
don’t really want to poke myself 3 times a day 🥲

I did this in my first pregnancy, didn’t have diabetes, baby still measured to be the 99th percentile. Came one day before due date weighing 7.12, they told me he would be 9.9💀

I’ve got the M&Ps Ocarro which is a heavy all terrain system. It’s great if you’re not putting it in a car or have core strength or have a husband who’ll put it in the car for you.

I have the same from my first and it is very heavy. I liked it but that was the only downside.
I didn't realise just how heavy it was at first because I was only using it for daily walks. Once COVID restrictions lifted and I started using the car to go out I discovered just how heavy it is to lift in and out of the car.

Part of me is not looking forward to using it again but I know we won't get much if we sell it to buy something different. It's in such good condition because it wasn't used much either. I'm hoping when we get it out of storage that it's not as heavy as I remember 🙈

My first was estimated to be over 8lbs,she came out at 6lbs 😂

this one is estimated to be 10lbs at birth if I go full term! Think I’m just wary of pricking myself and the blood weirdly enough

It is so bloody heavy but is such a good pram. I fell over today and the pram went flying across the road and landed upside down. Baby is absolutely fine because of the straps holding him in. Don’t know if all prams have the five point straps but I rate it for this alone.

I’ve got to do a week of testing from 23 weeks 😩 not looking forward to that!

Eurgh just need a vent. I’m 27 weeks today and just in pain. I have pelvic girdle pain which I’m seeing a physio for which helps but then this evening just had horrible pain across my ribs and then my upper back and just couldn’t find a comfortable position.

It’s made me so tired and grumpy all evening, had a bath to try and relax but it just made me feel worse and I couldn’t concentrate on my book so just been doing nothing on social media all evening.

It’s the most down I’ve felt all pregnancy. I was feeling super excited earlier today - finally confirmed my last day at work before going on mat leave and a couple of baby things arrived today - but this pain has just made me feel so blue. I tried browsing Vinted for baby related stuff (or nice clothes for me) to cheer myself up and make myself excited again but that’s not worked and I just want to rot in bed for a week and not come out from under my duvet. Hopefully tomorrow morning I’ll wake up feeling better but just needed to vent and get it out my head!

How are you feeling? I'm just under two weeks, lots more lightening crotch pains today so wondering if it the head engaging!!!
Yesterday I was really struggling. Back killing from trying to sit on the sofa. Lots of muscular pain on bump and same with the lightening crotch! Luckily I’m sleeping really comfortably so that’s good.
getting to the stage of looking forward to not feeling like a baby hippo but also nervous about going into labour!
how about you?

I'm the exact same, just trying not to think about it and roll with it! Best of luck🎉

Nearly 6 months and i have nothing bought....its all kicking in now

This is my first, could you please let me know what i need for a new born?

As in pram, moses basket etc, i ask my friends but i just get a million messages back of things they have and they can give me which of course is so helpful but what i really just need is a bullet point list so i myself can start checking things off! could you girls let me know what things are on your lists?

Thank you!!
