I quite like a popsy dress, some scream 'I wanna dress like a toddler' but each to their own.
What I can't handle is the OVERSHARING on the fb group, I know more about what some women on there are upto than my own mates. Some people are so desperate for attention, and they are so vulnerable. Seriously shouldn't be allowed any NPR posts..

The whole brand plays on the vulnerability of those women if you ask me. There’s women who are obvs in abusive relationships
But hey ho buy a million dresses to make you feel better. Some women have issues with the way they look- buy a popsy pop your photo on their page and everyone will tell you you look amazing. Now I’m not being cruel but sometimes people don’t suit a dress, it can be the wrong shape or size for them but no one tells them nicely they just tell them what they want to hear. Oh and their vanity sizing. I can fit into size 10s, I’m actually a 12-14 . Never been a 10.

The whole group is basically NPR posts now, I joined because I was interested in dresses and not the minutiae of strangers' lives.
I got booted out- I certainly didn’t leave the group just wasn’t a member anymore. I had a few weeks earlier made a comment about the dresses being the same olde same. Always in dark backgrounds and same prints but in different styles. I mean how many books and Dino dresses can you actually sell? Haven’t tried to rejoin on principle 😂😂

Now as much as I dislike the culture of the popsy cult I think if they brought out simple prints such as polka stripe and plain in a natural material they would be great dresses for work.
Im desperate for some school appropriate dresses with pockets. Short sleeve for summer and long sleeve for winter so I don’t have to wear cardigans all the time.

Does anyone else entertain themselves looking at all the comments in the Facebook group moaning that a dress has sold out or the discount was only on for a limited time or piling on someone for saying the wrong thing? Maybe I’m just mean but there is soooo much passive aggression 🤣

that group though… people are either constantly crying over these dresses, saying ‘thank you for taking all my money, so kind of you, I can’t pay my bills but it was worth it’ or using the page as their diary and massively oversharing - I’m sick of opening Facebook and seeing people posting photos in their knicks for likes!

Owner of several Poppy dresses….and a Vendula bag. I know, I know 😂….just dreadful. I have no truck with the fawning FB stuff of either though.

Was searching for Popsy posts as I am watching them turn into the new Lucy locket loves… started with dresses, now
Shoes, bags, fleece hoodies???

i own a couple and have ordered some more as I do like some of them, but agree they are overpriced and it’a bit of a weird cult. The oversharing has mainly come from people who were in the now closed lockets group.

I am a huge guinea pig fan, so imagine my joy when they brought out a Guinea pig print. I was over the moon! My sister has a lot of popsy dresses and told me if I want my dress to last, don’t wear it often and certainly don’t wash it.
I joined the popsy ‘pre loved’ fb group and Jesus Christ, I’ve never known so many grown women argue the way they do over a dress. They’re so catty. You definitely have to be a special kind of person to have the patience for that 😱

To be fair to Cherish, she doesn't put herself out there and over share herself like LLL.
But I agree, stick to dresses, and maybe some more different fabric types.
The women that overshare, namely the lady with the son with a condition... Its painful. They are really putting too much information about themselves out there. Dangerous and also irritating.

True, not so sharing but the company itself just seems to be going through same way.

yes, that’s one of them that moved over. It must be hard but don’t share such personal info to literally thousands of strangers!

Ha I haven’t been in that group for about a year but I know exactly who you mean.

Cherish is very clever she plays on womens anxieties about themselves and passes it off as body positivity. vanity sizing at its best.

What gets me is why does she design only dare I say frumpy clothes and wear them herself. They make her look years older than she is.

For me it’s why is she usually the only model on the website… a size 6 petite lady. Who makes dresses for, more often, bigger ladies….

Can’t believe they are charging £50 for a fake Oodie and justify it by saying it’s cheaper than brands. There are established brands for a reason, other places sell for £20-£25. It’s pure greed, the only reason they sell so much is because of grown adults enabling and bullshitting each other.

I’m not even in the Popsy group but I know exactly who you mean with the son … I knew somehow she’d find some other group to parade her poor child on for attention 🙄

Seeing the pictures they're just a hoody rather than an oodie/oversized hoody. But the price is laughable. And also one size fits between a 6 and 24....eh not a chance.

You should all also watch the amazon documentary on Lula Roe clothing.

That post on there this evening

“A terrible tragedy happened in my family but I’m only packing Popsy dresses! Missed the Christmas launch because of it though *sad face*”

They’re so predatory as a company. The fact this person felt the need to relate it back to Popsy just so the group will validate her is INCREDIBLE. And not in a good way.

They take advantage of the vulnerable/ those in vulnerable situations. It’s mainly women who have felt tit about themselves for years, pop on a popsy and you get hundreds of compliments from within that group and suddenly your self esteem goes through the window. A lot of those comments are merely for the sake of it. I’ve seen many ladies that have needed a size bigger/ smaller or a dress not suit them- it’s only the very brave that points that out.
