Just clicked on the first boastful “I got what I wanted” post today to see how many other similar posts the lady had made, she’s literally spending hundreds of pounds every couple of weeks on Popsy 😳 Are these people not suffering in the cost of living crisis like the rest of us? I couldn’t imagine spending that much money on myself regularly ☹️

I believe she is the lady who had to ask her mum for the money for Popsy shite because she was in her overdraft. Wonder if she paid her back before ordering more stuff, and why she feels the need to tell people what she’s bought each week 😠

Snag are a bit questionable now (see the Snag thread on here). People say Better Tights are good but I’ve not tried them myself.
I bought some from shein, the ones labelled snag. I'm really impressed tbh! (I liked their underpops too - I'm allergic to everything against my skin but tights and shorts save me when I sit on chairs etc.)

Another recommendation for Better Tights - I have a few pairs and really like them. BUT does anyone have any recommendations for tights that go all the way up to your bra? I love those kind but can never find them anymore (Primark used to be good).

Since this thread took off, you have all had me wondering whether I am walking around looking terrible, so I recently started trying to photo how the dresses look on me.
I’ve done it to decide if I do want to bin them or not.
I’ve got a lot more Popsy dresses than I first thought so here’s the start.
Aside from the butterfly one which looks horrendous, I really don’t mind how the rest looks. The rainbow one I’d tied the belt at the back which I don’t think looks great, but I’m curious, do you guys think these look awful and toddler like? Be brutally honest, I’ll still make up my own mind! (Sorry some are blurry, I am not used to taking photos of myself and couldn’t figure out the timer delay 🤣)

You genuinely look lovely in them. This is most likely because you obviously buy the correct size and understand the concept of bras. You’re also (I presume) not posting your boring life story on there every day or worshipping at the altar of imafella.

Honestly, I have a lot of them too. They’re my work wardrobe. I only buy one style now that I know works for my body shape, and I’m selective with the prints I buy (mostly floral/woodland). I don’t care what others think of them/my dress sense. Nor should you.

That said, I do get bleeping terrified of people shouting at me when I’m wearing them now 😂

Hate to say it, but Popsy ones 🤣 Whilst most of the accessories are absolute tat, I do think they’ve done a good job with the tights. I find them much softer than snag, fit well, long lasting and go right up under the bra if I want them to!

I think they mean Snag tights the brand, not Shein ones. It’s a brand with its own Popsy style following.

If you look back through her posts it says she has anxiety, depression and barely leaves the house so god knows why she need to spend hundreds of pounds every fortnight on clothes that never see the light of day!

You look great in them, I agree with you the butterfly is my least favourite.
I’m also a fan of the wear what you like, colours or not. I’ve been known to wear a colourful pair of tights.
For me my dislike of Popsy is more about the marketing and fake friend nonsense. It’s always made me uneasy. I feel like they are preying on the vulnerable and it’s underhand. Also the questionable quality of the two dresses I bought. Anyway I googled is Popsy a cult and tattle appeared! I’ve stayed as it keeps me amused, I’ve sold my two Popsy dresses but will continue to wear bright tights and whatever I would like to wear.
I too would recommend Better tights. Much better quality than snag is nowadays

yep I just want nice black tights that don’t sag round the ankles or ladder/click easily. Are snag the best option if I don’t wanna spend £££?

Every time they post a meet up picture I just feel so sad. These women need actual stylists not some greasy bloke selling them endless polyester shite and more toddler tights, slippers, wellies and hoodies. It’s all awful bar a few dresses if they’re worn well.
Better tights are better than Snag, also M&S and next are good too

They all look OK. I don't mind the butterfly dress but its not as flattering on you as the others - but you know that. If you still want to wear it you can, noone says your clothes have to all suit you perfectly - thats a pretty hard goal to achieve these days - nothing I try on seems to fit right. . .

To be honest I think its a few things that make it OK to me.
1. The shape of the dress. The butterfly is a gathered waist. It doesn't suit you as well. Quite a few of the others are the blouson style or flatter fronts. That works on you.
2. The colours of the dress. The backgrounds are mostly muted or darker so that the pattern is the dominant "popping" ("popsing??") colour. To me this just looks fun/interesting/striking rather than toddler-ish. I think the toddler effect is easier to achieve with lighter/brighter backgrounds like turquoise etc.
3. The actual patterns. To me yours are not childish patterns. Its OK to wear hearts, flowers, spots as a grown up (I love florals, don't think they're aging at all). They're normal. The animal ones are things we associate with children that's why it makes us think toddler.
4. You are not accessorising with brightly colored tights, wacky shoes, crazy bags. Of course you might have brightly coloured hair and wacky bright specs on for all we know, but this could work for you as long as you don't do ALL these things at the same time. Then you're in toddler-territory. Personally i think bright tights are OK but I'd wear them with a plain dress. I'm not really confident enough to do that though.

Let's face it, we all like Popsy dresses or we wouldn't be here. We're here because we liked them enough to engage with their product and their group at some stage. But at the end of the day anyone can wear what they want and do what they want. We can all also laugh at other people's outfits if we want. Basically - don't feel bad because of an online forum. Don't let some online randoms dictate your wardrobe (either the group or Tattle). You do you.

The group is problematic and I don't think most of the comments on here are about bad style as much as they are about frustrations with the marketing, quality and the general insanity that is a very vocal minority of their fans.

Thank you for breaking that down, I was genuinely wondering how people view my dress sense. I’ve never posted a picture online before and I wouldn’t ever in that group especially. I have a twin sister and she is very stylish but a lot more conservative than me. She is good for feedback sometimes but she doesn’t like anything colourful and can be a little scathing so I avoid asking her opinion most of the time.

I have quite a few pairs of coloured tights but like you a prefer to wear them with something plain, or sometimes I’ll pick an accent colour but then I would wear black boots and have a black handbag.

I currently have very normal coloured hair but I did have it quite colourful when I was younger (which my sister despaired of!)
