Since this thread took off, you have all had me wondering whether I am walking around looking terrible, so I recently started trying to photo how the dresses look on me.
I’ve done it to decide if I do want to bin them or not.
I’ve got a lot more Popsy dresses than I first thought so here’s the start.
Aside from the butterfly one which looks horrendous, I really don’t mind how the rest looks. The rainbow one I’d tied the belt at the back which I don’t think looks great, but I’m curious, do you guys think these look awful and toddler like? Be brutally honest, I’ll still make up my own mind! (Sorry some are blurry, I am not used to taking photos of myself and couldn’t figure out the timer delay 🤣)

yep I just want nice black tights that don’t sag round the ankles or ladder/click easily. Are snag the best option if I don’t wanna spend £££?

Every time they post a meet up picture I just feel so sad. These women need actual stylists not some greasy bloke selling them endless polyester shite and more toddler tights, slippers, wellies and hoodies. It’s all awful bar a few dresses if they’re worn well.
Snag are a bit questionable now (see the Snag thread on here). People say Better Tights are good but I’ve not tried them myself.

I think you have a great figure and so they sit nicely on you, none of them are childish and I think you don't need to worry. I'm not super keen on the one with the big black spots on but that's because I find that sort of pattern makes a strange optical illusion where the big spots look like they are recessed and so your body looks a strange shape but maybe that's my trypophobia speaking!

I can't deal with the spelling of this, it needs to be popsessOrise, how can she not see that when she's literally written the word accessory next to it 😂

Thank you, the book and the rainbow ones are the most “wacky” I have. I tend to go for floral and paisley but I know some people think the florals can be aging. My husband and kids don’t really like the spotty one.

Since someone on here pointed it out, every time I see “Popsessory/Popsessories,” I think of pessary!

ps-Don’t watch the film hole!

I’m not keen on the 2 at the right but you look great in the others.

Someone on the pre-loved selling a tit backpack with the straps failing. Says she put a heavy laptop in it and that's why but others have pointed out that they are advertised as holding laptops.
I'd definitely send a bag back if it didn't hold the things it was meant to. Imagine if a laptop bag strap broke and you dropped your laptop? Maybe why they have released the new laptop sleeves.

I have to be honest I'd have ordered #BraxtonHicks if it was a different style, the fabric looks lush. And I'm tempted by Peg too... I'll see myself out 😂

I admit I like the look of Peg for a work dress!

You have such a lovely figure that a bin bag would look good (so long as said bin bag was not paired with sparkly wellies…)

My favourite is the top left, I wouldn’t have identified it as a Popsy so you may be safe outside without lunatics yelling at you!

I get mine from M&S - we have an outlet nearby and they’re about a 5’er for a pack of the supersoft control top ones. They last ages.

Nah you have a fab figure and a well fitting bra 😂
I don’t love the top right one but aside from that they look nice. Love top left!

Bottom centre style looks really good on you and I think that (to my eyes) makes more difference than the prints.

They all look OK. I don't mind the butterfly dress but its not as flattering on you as the others - but you know that. If you still want to wear it you can, noone says your clothes have to all suit you perfectly - thats a pretty hard goal to achieve these days - nothing I try on seems to fit right. . .

To be honest I think its a few things that make it OK to me.
1. The shape of the dress. The butterfly is a gathered waist. It doesn't suit you as well. Quite a few of the others are the blouson style or flatter fronts. That works on you.
2. The colours of the dress. The backgrounds are mostly muted or darker so that the pattern is the dominant "popping" ("popsing??") colour. To me this just looks fun/interesting/striking rather than toddler-ish. I think the toddler effect is easier to achieve with lighter/brighter backgrounds like turquoise etc.
3. The actual patterns. To me yours are not childish patterns. Its OK to wear hearts, flowers, spots as a grown up (I love florals, don't think they're aging at all). They're normal. The animal ones are things we associate with children that's why it makes us think toddler.
4. You are not accessorising with brightly colored tights, wacky shoes, crazy bags. Of course you might have brightly coloured hair and wacky bright specs on for all we know, but this could work for you as long as you don't do ALL these things at the same time. Then you're in toddler-territory. Personally i think bright tights are OK but I'd wear them with a plain dress. I'm not really confident enough to do that though.

Let's face it, we all like Popsy dresses or we wouldn't be here. We're here because we liked them enough to engage with their product and their group at some stage. But at the end of the day anyone can wear what they want and do what they want. We can all also laugh at other people's outfits if we want. Basically - don't feel bad because of an online forum. Don't let some online randoms dictate your wardrobe (either the group or Tattle). You do you.

The group is problematic and I don't think most of the comments on here are about bad style as much as they are about frustrations with the marketing, quality and the general insanity that is a very vocal minority of their fans.

Just clicked on the first boastful “I got what I wanted” post today to see how many other similar posts the lady had made, she’s literally spending hundreds of pounds every couple of weeks on Popsy 😳 Are these people not suffering in the cost of living crisis like the rest of us? I couldn’t imagine spending that much money on myself regularly ☹️

It's so tone deaf, there are other people who post to say they can afford one dress or have a voucher for a birthday, and then others who spend £150 a week 🙈

So much stuff has been released this week and I'll be intrigued to see if much sells out. The Marlowe dress seems to be the most recent item that sold out completely, I can't imagine the black boots going well because they aren't super comfy and they aren't unique in design either. Scarcity does seem to drive people to spend more (like the Lula roe model) but eventually surely the market will get saturated. It always seems that the smaller sizes sell out first but perhaps they make fewer of them?
