After seeing these photos I think I am going to have to clear my wardrobe of anything remotely floral for fear of looking like I’ve escaped from the Popsy convention.

I suppose I’m officially middle aged now, and this thread has really given me the inspiration to not turn into a total frump. I’m working on being more polished and going for classic styles rather than trying to stay qUiRkY. So far I’m avoiding muted florals (bolder patterns seem to be OK), red hair dye and wrap dresses!

This thread/that group has inspired me to go for a more polished look too with jeans and smarter looking tops. Nice skirts and plain dresses for work. I had some non-popsy but QuIrKy dresses with pockets and owls & things on, but they are gone. Since lockdown I’ve lived in leggings and T-shirts.

I have another query about the directorship of Popsy.

On the Popsy website Cherish says she Co-founded it in 2017. But Greg and Tracey (mum?) are listed as directors since 2015.

And here she is claiming ‘she’ set it up sometime after 2016 (link https://www.mamalifemagazine.co.uk/victim-to-victor/amp/ )

I did a clear out of my wardrobe last week (I have ADHD and can be a buy and forget kind of a person) - and sadly I found out I have more Popsy frocks than I thought. Not 279 or whatever that ridiculous number was - but I did find them at a time quite useful for work. But seeing those pictures I now want to sell them all and go on a diet. I'm reassessing my entire wardrobe right now because clearly VERY few people look good in those frocks, which means chances are I look like I'm on day release in mine.

Am I being thick, has this woman taken a selfie whilst driving? She looks like she’s in the left hand seat and the car in the background is blurry as if they were moving. Surely not?
At least she’ll have a popsypretty mugshot if she’s arrested. Or would that be a popshot?

Re Cherish, I assume it’s all a made up story for the PR. People nominate themselves for those Forbes “awards” too. Perhaps Forbes don’t look into the background of the nominees much. They can’t have with Grace Beverley who had her companies set up by an outfit called Genflow who specialise in helping influencers start brands.

I have ADHD too (medicated) and change my ‘style’ all the time. However I’m staying away from floral and qUirkY tit from now on 😂

Did the £95 include the hotel and theme park ticket? Cos if they stayed overnight that would be bloody expensive.

Other than talks from Cherish and getting pissed, what was the entertainment? Did they have dress giveaways or something? It sounds like they got a sneak preview of the Xmas range. For that price, I’d expect a hefty discount code or something for my money.

Nope they had to pay extra for the hotel (although it was discounted I think) so the ticket was just for the event, ropey 3 course meal and ‘entertainment’

I think you've just helped me unlock why I cycle through looks. I used to love the vintage look, but don't now. Ditsy dresses were a big feature for a while and now I get hives when I see them. I think Popsy are starting to have a similar effect on me, though I've one or two I genuinely like.

I'm trying to dress appropriately for my age (cruising towards 50), but also what I do with my time. So I WFH, so casual (plain) leggings, sweatshirts and Tees for day to day and school run, and classic pieces for meetings etc.

I think I need to get on the Vinted app!

Why would they? Popsy know that the cult members will pay without any of those things. I think maybe some of them got to take home the chair cover things. Surely they were bobbled to duck though from being sat against.

is that what they were all wearing as hairbands in the picture?
