Yes it must put off the regular, average facebook group joiner which means the pool of people actively using the groups decreases over time.

The group has put me right off Popsy dresses. I'll keep my plain ones (red velvet, the plain navy blouson type ones) but getting rid of the patterned ones I have, I won't wear them in case of a Popsy in the wild moment. I don't want to look like the weirdos in the group. I don't think I do but the group has put me right off them as a brand.

The group was the reason I sold most of mine. I still have a couple, but I won’t wear them to anywhere I might get some menopausal nightmare screaming “POPSY IN THE WILD” at me

Yeah I’m a sucker for velvet dresses and would be tempted to get one of the Popsy ones but the idea of some middle aged woman getting all excited and coming over the screech Popsy in the wild at me means I probably won’t. I also don’t want to be associated with some of the people on that group.
