Hi I’m so happy to have come across this thread. I stopped following the poppy page a while ago as found them all to be similar to snag and Lucy lockets wearers especially the men. There’s a man on the snag page who dresses in very sexy outfits and posts. If that was my dad I would be mortified! It’s creepy and I can never understand using men to advertise woman’s clothing!
It gets them more attention. That has to be the only reason for it. Snag had a man in their tights a while ago and the engagement on the post was high because it was a man, some good comments and some bad comments with everyone attacking the bad comments 🙄

Molke did a whole campaign around it.

I’m surprised, given how right on with the TW/CW they are, that no one has piped up about the insensitivity of people posting pics of children to those who can’t have children.

Not saying this is a balanced reaction but in other groups of oversharing women I have seen this argument flare up!
Someone put a trigger warning over buying a pram the other day so we’re getting close to it.

They still do!

My Facebook feed is full of random peoples kids in their prom outfits thanks for the Popsy group. Surely it would be better to keep them to one post if they are so desperate to share to strangers? There are even people posting pictures of their own prom or their kids prom from years ago, why? It can be nice to see photos of children you know and have seen growing up all dressed up but not random strangers kids.

This one...any advice???
Yes talk to the solicitor that is qualified and you are paying to deal with this, I think you will get better advice than asking a load of random women who like the same dress as you.

I really want to post some random weird prom pictures from Google just to see what I could get away with!

NPR: so proud of my daughter who has every single ailment under the sun and was SEVERELY bullied from the minute she stepped into nursery. Also her leg fell off and her goldfish died just before her exams. She really wanted to wear a top and trousers to prom but I convinced her to wear this dress instead.

This. Post exactly this!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I mean I own a few popsy dresses so of course can’t include myself in this (haven’t bought one since last Xmas and the ones I do have are pretty tame) but the die hard fans seem to fit the following profile -

Be neurodivergent
Have mad coloured or styled hair
Have a neurodivergent child (preferably in year 11 so can take prom picture)
Have a relationship with their husband where they aren’t allowed to spend their own money on what they want
Be a total oversharer with no comprehension that the internet is still real life
Unnormal ratios regarding facial features
Be a handmaiden wanting to please the men in their rainbow dresses and fawn over them
You forgot to mention that the medical conditions are self diagnosed.

I think the little girls on the website are Greg and Cherish's girls, must hurt to keep posing like that. Again saves money.
There is a boy wearing some t-shirts and he shows full face.

I imagine the boy is probably a model they’ve hired.

With regards to the TW over being insensitive to those who can’t have children- I had a massive row with someone on there who said that women who don’t have children or who have children and don’t breastfeed aren’t real women. I got attacked by a load of the robotic handmaidens as well so I told them all to **** off and left the group. Ain’t no one needs that.

Reminds me of a couple of months ago on my menopause group (plenty of over sharers on there too). Someone posted one of those stupid copy and paste things about being a warrior older woman with instructions to repost with a photo of you and your age. The whole page became a sea of selfies - most fishing for “you can’t possibly be that old” compliments. The whole thing degenerated into massive rows and flounces - it was hilarious 🤣

I'm finding the prom posts quite difficult, because for various reasons I can't go through the same rite of passage with my eldest child this year. I didn't expect to be bothered, but actually it's been quite upsetting (more the posts by friends with children the same age tbf).

Guess what I've done? I've logged off and gone to do something else. I have controlled my own response to posts that have upset me - without a trigger warning!! I don't think the Popsy people know that's actually possible.

Aren’t all boobs home grown? I don’t remember outsourcing my boobs.

It’s like the start of term when everyone posts pics in massive groups with their kid’s school logo on display. “HERE’S A PIC OF MY CHILD AND THEIR FULL NAME AND WHERE YOU CAN FIND THEM DURING SCHOOL HOURS! HAPPY ABDUCTING!”

Yeah it’s ok to show the full face of customer child models… 😬

That’s so awful and I’m sorry that someone said that to you. Of course women are still women whether or not they have kids or breastfeed! What a bizarre attitude.
