Anyone else think that Miley Cyrus was channelling Queen Vlad at The Grammys?

I think those belts can look good. I think they can especially look good on larger ladies. Yes, its obviously trying to give an illusion of a waist and so it does work best on body shapes with a but of a waist in the first place. Being overweight doesn't mean you can't have a good shape. But "fridge" shape doesn't work because there isn't one there. Similarly it won't work on men because they don't have waists like women do.
Screenshot from a Google search. This lady is not fat but she's got a shape (not stick thin) and crucially has a waist. She also has a well supported bosom. The belt is only drawing attention to what is already there. So for me this works. I don't think it'd work well with Popsy because they're mostly very patterned. On Tim's photo there was just too much going on and I think he's too slim to make it work as well as not having the body shape for it. Then again alot of them seem to like colour clashing and pattern mixing so maybe it was deliberate. Another reason these belts don't work well with a Popsy is because the waist is often nowhere near the person's true waist so it just draws attention to the bad fit.

I’m a 14ish HS and have a short boob to waist ratio and long legs for my height, but quite a defined waist, so I do focus on that - for my shape it’s what changes a look the most. A lot of times things that fit well on the bum are baggy/gapey on the waist. I think I’m one of the only people that the Popsy dress waists mostly sit right on. I have a few of those belts in solid colours with a bit of sparkle and usually wear them with a very similar colour of dress/skirt, or to create a blouson effect with dresses or tops so you don’t really see them but they still pull the waist in. As with anything if you can figure out what suits you then it will look great, if it doesn’t, bin it. Trinny and Susannah taught me that! 😂

F&F seems quieter especially for NPR posts.

Ugh, Cardigan Jade vibes. Shudder. Please don't do it again! 🙏
