That’s good to know.

Would Eamonn have spoken up about the fetid nature of the industry if he hadn’t been personally affected by the incestuous nature of tv?

I wonder if Ruth with leave YMU at any point. She is adding to the PS coffers by staying with them. Eamonn is with another management company. It would stick in my craw to be at YMU. You can see why they were all leant on to do the big supportive coming out debacle. I would like Eamonn to reveal what he really felt about being used then.
He did allude to it, he said something like 'I was involved in the coming out con, which I didn't know at the time' or wtte

At least he is not afraid to say it as it is, obviously he cannot say anything about the elephant in the room, that will all come out at some stage, those not yet in the know will realise why he absolutely abhors PS.

Eamonn knows he has no chance of being back on ITV, not sure he would want it knowing that the murky waters start at the top of the organisation. The way they ousted Piers Morgan in deference to Megz 'catastophic car crash' Markle was telling.

I started to like Piers Morgan when he was ordered to apologise and told the head of ITV to pss off. Abhorrent and blatant censorship.

Hear me out…what about Stacy Dooley?

When she first came on the scene I was prejudiced against her voice. I have never watched her documentaries apart from something she did in a hospital where she seemed to really care about the people with addiction issues. I have seen her on that tv programme about houses, and Strictly, but latterly on one about DNA - and I find her charming on that. She has a warmth about her. She is a confident person without megalomaniac tendencies. And she is intelligent. I let my innate prejudice against her speaking voice colour my views about her suitability to be on tv. Disclaimer-I am common myself and a bit cor blimey when I have had a few.

She is a people person, her documentaries are interesting IMO.

I really hope she does. I can only imagine she hasn’t yet as these things usually involve lot of layered contractual wrangling between talent, management, production and broadcaster and it’s maybe not as simple as just handing in a notice and leaving.

The media is in such a weird state right now… never seen such an example of “us” and “them” when it comes to broadcasting opinions. Left wing, right wing, middle wing, chicken wing whatever the hell you are. The media should all be able to broadcast the views without fear or consequence. The tide is turning. Talk TV and GB News are leading the way. I mainly hope all this comes out to try and instil the focus and importance of good journalism in this dire country again. It’s actually sad how all this tit has tarnished a once powerful brand nurtured so beautifully by Richard and Judy. Money and fame eh.

For sure. Causing tribalism and extreme position division pays. Viewers are a lot likely to be more invested if something appeals to their sentiment, rather than a “meh” reasoned response. Happens in politics too, which is why we’re basically two-party. Tories branded as evil Nazis and Labour as evil Commies, even though in reality you can barely distinguish between them.

Always a connection to the schofe clan

I’m no fan of Stacey, but it’s not PS’s daughters’ fault that their dad (or uncle) is what he is.
Yes they’ve benefited hugely from their dad’s fame, but now they’re facing a lifetime of everyone knowing their family’s dirty secrets.
They probably feel disgusted by it.

It’s clear that ITV is too reliant on YMU and it’s shallow stable of stars.

Interesting that Rochelle, who PS tolerated, left YMU and her and her husband manage themselves. Maybe they could see the stranglehold they had on Holly’s career and took the opportunity to jump.

re Holly, she instigated leaving YMU just after MM stuff and PS coming out. Her husband was telling her to distance herself. It took a while didn’t it?
