Here for it today. Surely something must be said on the programme today?

God I hope they don’t mention it at all, I would love it if they open with A&D just dancing or looking really really happy, with the crew laughing in the background. What are they really gonna say though, that they miss him & wish him well? 😂🤣😂🤣 They’re really all thinking, ding dong the witch is dead.

As much as Eamonn is making us laugh, and crucially emphasising that HW isn’t little Miss Angelic, he is doing himself no favours. He is clearly smarting from being ousted from TM a few years back, but upsetting the Head of ITV and other head honchos, might deter others for considering him for work elsewhere, particularly if you factor in all his recent health woes. There is loads of competition for jobs on TV, and like PS, EH is getting on in tv terms. Ruth had been on This Morning longer that PS, probably why he wanted her gone, but she has kept her head down and carried on with Loose Women. Eamonn is going to be stuck in that broadcasting backwater for ever if he keeps on. Eamonn has an air of entitlement about him, thinks he is a broadcaster of Dimbleby stature rather than a jobbing presenter on populist programmes.

I liked Ruth and Eamonn on This Morning, it was the only day I watched. I could not stand P and H’s excluding the audience with their hilarious in jokes like the mean kids at school. But sometimes even then Eamonn looked as if he felt he was above it all. He hinted he wanted to be Piers replacement on GMB, but clearly Mrs ITV has put the blockers on any other programmes for him. I liked those “rich” series of programmes R & E did for Channel 5. Covid restrictions and his health woes put the kibbosh on those but could they be revived now. Channel 5 has also become a safe space for another of PS victims - Fern B.
I disagree Eamonn is doing himself no favours, although I get what you mean. Imo, he will be cheered on by many, both in tv and the public. He is exposing the cabal, as he puts it, in itv.

It is sickening that so many 'celebs' (they are only people doing their jobs and have exposure on the tv/media) in the public arena are just so false outwardly, probably inwardly too, out for themselves, dog eat dog. All this is to do with power and money, too much of both and with that willing to take anybody down who steps in their way.

It is a very sad indictment of society today, it depresses me how this world has become. Social media, filters, influencers, hackers, scams and who know what is to become with AI. Cover-ups, injunctions, NDA's, why can people not just trade on their talents.

A few people on here saying that journalists should leave MM alone, he did approach the tabloids himself to see his story a few years ago. He has instigated media interest himself. I am not absolving PS of anything, but MM wanted to monetise his story, so of course journalists are going to be sniffing around him now.

He is doing himself favours on here, and others who like a laugh at all this. But in terms of his own employability he is actively working against himself. The job he has now is not a stellar appointment, it’s a massive step down for him. And he won’t be able to climb back up if he keeps on calling people like the head of ITV Mrs EasyJet. He is trying to reduce her image wise to a trolly Dolly asking if you want chicken or beef.

I happen to know Eamonn is very happy in his employment and he certainly isn’t looking for work elsewhere!😂 Aside from not needing it, he’s an unwell man. This gig is the gig he’s happy to stick with and go out on. Being on those popular mainstream programmes is part of the problem, it allows for power and perverts!

Piers Morgan is to put it mildly, outspoken and he's doing ok for himself. I think viewers appreciate journalists who are true to themselves and just call it as they see it. I mean compare that to the mad panto going on on This Morning all last week.

That’s good to know.

Would Eamonn have spoken up about the fetid nature of the industry if he hadn’t been personally affected by the incestuous nature of tv?

I wonder if Ruth with leave YMU at any point. She is adding to the PS coffers by staying with them. Eamonn is with another management company. It would stick in my craw to be at YMU. You can see why they were all leant on to do the big supportive coming out debacle. I would like Eamonn to reveal what he really felt about being used then.

I'm a little bit in love with Eamon Holmes and his gleeful schadenfreude.

At least he is not afraid to say it as it is, obviously he cannot say anything about the elephant in the room, that will all come out at some stage, those not yet in the know will realise why he absolutely abhors PS.

Eamonn knows he has no chance of being back on ITV, not sure he would want it knowing that the murky waters start at the top of the organisation. The way they ousted Piers Morgan in deference to Megz 'catastophic car crash' Markle was telling.

The media is in such a weird state right now… never seen such an example of “us” and “them” when it comes to broadcasting opinions. Left wing, right wing, middle wing, chicken wing whatever the hell you are. The media should all be able to broadcast the views without fear or consequence. The tide is turning. Talk TV and GB News are leading the way. I mainly hope all this comes out to try and instil the focus and importance of good journalism in this dire country again. It’s actually sad how all this tit has tarnished a once powerful brand nurtured so beautifully by Richard and Judy. Money and fame eh.

In monetary terms he is, but his programme doesn’t have great ratings. Piers is all about being seen, and his visibility has taken a back step from his Daily Mail column and GMB days.

I believe he would have but of course timing is everything. No point speaking up with a super injunction in place and blowing any chance of the victim reclaiming any justice. Without him joining GB News, beyond social media he wouldn’t have had a platform to speak up and honestly on. Doing a video on Twitter doesn’t count. There’s enough noise on that platform as it is. It would get lost in the midst of everything else. Another reason why the likes of GB News is so important for free speech.
