I started Methody in 2012 and you definitely didn’t need an A to get in then lol, it was like a 95 in the AQE test but they’d accept lower grades if you have siblings there at the time. It’s defo easier to get into now. It isn’t even all that of a good school anymore, but bc it was so good up until the early 2010’s ish it has such a high reputation around the UK but NI people just know it’s shite. Definitely not the closest Belfast gets to a private school, it’s not even that elite it’s just rich pretentious ppl like Olivia flock to it bc it’s the only good school they can go to without mummy and daddy having to pay into.

(and before anyone starts no I’m not rich nor or pretentious nor is my family, I went bc my mum and sisters went and I was under the illusion it was still a great scjool + got 118 in the AQE so I earned it. Was shocked when I realised how shite it was but it was too late to move so I stuck it out)

myself and so many of my friends have just been put off by olivia so much since she moved to london & i unsubscribed after her video talking about phil & the chocolate. annoys me so much that in the height of her fame, she buys a kitten. we all know how much she changes her mind every two seconds, yet buying a real life living animal that depends on her, just gets chucked with friends every 5 mins when she’s off sniffing :(

she was so funny and i can’t even stand her anymore just the usual of what happens to good youtubers when they love to london

It sort of is in the sense that people always pay their way into like Methody, Campbell, inst etc if they don’t initially get the grade to get in. You could never do that with the catholic grammar schools like St pats you legit have to get an A for there and it’s easily the best school in Belfast by a mile, all my brothers went there, but methody is more elitist in the sense that if mummy and daddy can afford to pay you in they can. Same thing in a lot of Protestant grammar schools in Belfast I swear that’s like a known thing
