guys i understand everyone’s concern surrounding olivia’s weight loss and obvious eating disorder, but screenshotting images from TikToks at the angles that show her extreme thinness and discussing them and criticising her is only going to fuel her obvious issues. If she does read here, people noticing it will only give her eating disorder more motivation to continue, as they are very very competitive and deeply seek validation. As much as i agree with criticising her actions and her negatives, i personally believe all this talk surrounding her figure is in pretty ill taste, and will do more damage to not only olivia, but other vulnerable people seeing content of someone at the angles where they are truely tiny. worrying for her well being and thrashing and saying absolutely cruel things about her figure are completely different and are hardly appropriate. An eating disorder is a SEVERE mental illness, and is a topic we should really be careful discussing. I believe it’s an important topic and should be spoken about, but having some empathy and consideration in mind would go a long way.

i agree it needs to be careful and i did post a screenshot of one of her tiktoks just to highlight that she’s body checking - i have empathy for her and know how hard it can be but what i’ve been trying to highlight is how she’s actively triggering and damaging others by posting body checks to thousaaands of impressionable young girls on a regular basis, her management should at least step in at that point and tell her to stay off social media until she’s better

you are correct, but come on. can't help but think this is just because it's olivia and she has pretty privilege and an army of defenders. 90% of threads on this website discuss people's weight and bodies and there's rarely comments like this on their threads.

i can’t speak for other threads or what they discuss, i’m not on them and only engage on this one. I think anyone, not just olivia for being “pretty”, needs empathy and consideration when struggling with a severe mental illness, such as an eating disorder. It is such a complex and horrible issue that not only impacts on physical health but impacts ur mental well-being for the rest of ur life, even if being recovered. if other threads seem to attack mentally unwell people on their eating disorders and figure, and lack empathy, i cannot help that, all i can do is offer my values and opinions on a thread i frequently view.

To be honest, I think your comment shows a real lack of understanding of eating disorders. At the end of the day, it’s an illness - despite the sufferers personal flaws. It’s all consuming and not something a person has control over.
exactly, eating disorders are vicious and make you do some real horrible and shameful things, vanity isn’t typically enough to rid someone of a mental illness.

Poor poor Olivia, earth’s number one victim
She's obviously in a privileged position where she is able to get help, but you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped either so I hope she is okay or is doing something to get on the road to recovery. She's not a victim but just because she has money and a bit of fame doesn't mean you can't feel sorry for her, she's clearly unhappy

I certainly understand that, but sadly, tiktok will always be filled of body checks and content that promotes eating disorders. her management really can’t do anything, because her social media is her own, managers don’t really have involvement in personal accounts. And another point of view of management could really be she’s just wearing outfits in her small body, and they simply may not deem an issue with it. Most of the industry, influencer and modelling, that olivia is involved with, carry these morals and principles of thinness, and it wouldn’t surprise me if her management benefits of olivia being sick, due to possibly more modelling work as she’s fitting the insane standards the industry promotes and wants.

She's really in the wrong environment to get better

You do realize by posting body checks on tiktok she's fuelling her own body issues? And probably the body issues of impressionable young girls who watch her and look up to her? What about extending your ''empathy and consideration'' to her viewers for a change?
She gives her own ED motivation to continue by calling herself fat and constantly criticizing her body.
No one else can ''cause'' her ED, because that not how ED's work.
If anything, this discussion might help the people struggling to see that Olivia is not healthy, and that her body is not something to aspire for.
No one is saying cruel things about her figure - people ARE genuinely concerned.
People are saying that she is unhealthy, which is not wrong and needs to be said for the mentioned reasons.
I don't understand why people like you always make such a big deal out of the slightest criticism she gets.
And like someone (above me) said - does Olivia have any empathy or consideration for anyone else?
If she actually cared about her viewers, she would take a step back and consider how triggering her online content is.
Why are you bending over backwards with ''empathy and consideration'' for someone who could care less about you?

She probably has body dysmorphia and doesn’t realise how thin she actually looks… it’s often how an ED works? She probably thinks she looks great hence making zero connection to lack of energy and inability to do gym workouts and her probably barely eating.

I don't understand what your point is? She definitely has body dysmorphia but is aware that she has an ED.
By constantly posts body-checking photos and tiktoks shows she fuels her ED-related obsession w/ her body.
Are you saying that her posts are all innocent and shared w/o the intention of triggering her viewers?
Because I don't really believe that. I think she knows what she's doing and wants to show off that she's better than everyone else b/c she's skinner
and prettier.

How are you sure she’s aware she has an ED and isn’t in compete denial? I don’t think it’s that deep. Her perception of beauty is clearly diff to yours. Not saying that it’s mine, but if a plus size lady can post fit pics and vids then why can’t someone who’s skinny? If people are triggered then they shouldn’t be using social media, or should mute triggering accounts.

She probs just posts the content because she feels good about herself. I don’t think she feels it that hard. She probably can’t see how thin she looks. EDs and body dysmorphia can warp your perception of beauty and self. What she sees on the videos and in the mirror probably isn’t the same as what we can see. When the time comes she will probably take a break and get better.

I really don't think you understand my point. Either that, or you're so obsessed w/ defending Olivia you will try to contradict anyone who tries to question her regardless of the point being made. People are talking about her ED b/c she has quite literally admitted to it herself?
No one is speculating here... we all know about it. How can she be in ''complete denial'' if she has said herself that she has an ED?
If a plus size woman was promoting unhealthy behaviours people would be definitely people calling her out.
It's not about ''beauty'' or the ''perception'' of it. We are literally talking about her health. People are concerned b/c she is posting things that are a) triggering and b) unhealthy. Just b/c she has an ED that does not negate her responsibility towards her viewers.
She is a content creator, she should be mindful about what she posts and how it's going to affect her followers (i.e. the people that able her to live her lifestyle). So, if she is not thinking too ''deep'' about it, she should probably start to.
Like I said to the person above, maybe try advocating for her followers once for a change - considering you are one of them.
Of course people can unfollow/mute, but how do you think those body-checking photos will affect a 12/13 year old that looks up her?
Do you think they have the maturity to umute accounts that affect their well-being? Most people that age don't have the self-awareness to do that.
The world does not revolve around Olivia - you (and her other defenders) need to realize that her actions do affect other people - whether she likes it or not. And struggling with a mental health issue (be it an ED or anything else) does not excuse anyone from selfish and thoughtless behaviour.

What I said I still stand by. I’m not going to allow biases to cloud my judgement. Many times I’ve critiqued her. But, my point is that EDs when you’re super thin can make you see yourself as a healthy weight or feel fat, even though everyone else is saying you’re not. So what’s the diff between a healthy woman posting the exact same content and Olivia? I don’t see people slamming the healthy women ever? It’s always the super thing, or fat women who get critiqued. If Olivia is unwell, it’s very well that she sees herself in the same way as a healthy woman posting pics of their outfits etc? Her friend Tilly does it alll the time and posts in her undies etc, are people ever commenting on her videos that she’s triggering? No.
---
A lot of the time her body checking is her postings vids in her outfits and feeling good about herself. If you feel hot and wanna post it that isn’t vanity or triggering. Olivia has plenty of followers and a lot of them are not triggered by her stuff so I’m not sure if you have issues you need to resolve? I am personally not triggered by her content or physique and many others aren’t. Tattle isn’t a representation of the big wide world. The fashion industry is filled with women slimmer than Olivia. Do you call out Iris Law on online forums in the same way for being triggering, or are you just biased towards Olivia because you don’t like her. I can call out Olivia’s bad behaviour on here but I am not going to critique something I don’t think is an issue.
