Just what he needs, a hyperactive toddler-style selfie-taking loudmouth prancing about pretending to be interested in how the ship works.

Yes, her oncologist must have signed her off as fit to go on a cruise? There are several specialist holday insurance companies in U.K. who deal with patients on chemotherapy or long term chronic diseases ( £££!) ...her consultant would have had to sign a fit to travel document too
I couldn’t agree with this more. Her body is whacked out and broken from chemo yet she’s putting herself in the worse place for germs. Stuck on a boat with all those people. Insane doesn’t cover it. And all for a freebieIt's the being trapped on a ship for days with a bunch of random people with all sorts of germs, when your broken chemoed body is primed to catch every single infection that comes anywhere near you AND you don't even have a fully equipped hospital in easy reach, that really blows my mind about her decision to take this trip.
It. Is. Insane.

Ah yes but the cruise is a freebie - she couldn’t possibly have passed that up!I wouldn’t go on a cruise if I were 100% healthy! Being surrounded by people who might have crap hygiene, share food from a buffet, carry illnesses on board with them, lie on their “are you symptom free?” forms (if they have them)……the list goes on…just not a good time to me at all. You can go so many places (home and abroad) and see incredible things just from the comfort of your car!! They do guided car tours of London, Paris, Budapest, Madrid…
She has an annual policy with Insure With who specialise in cover for those with cancer. They have cruise cover so she’s probably just added that on.I work with some travel insurance providers, and don’t get me wrong have never had a client with as advanced cancer as Niki, but they have always asked for letters/notes ect from doctors to provide cover. Of course that could be different with more specialised insurers, but just wanted to add my (small amount) of experience.

It’s reasonable. That’s why the lady who founded it set it up - she had breast cancer and she worked in the insurance industry and she was fed up with the cost of insurance to go on holiday so she set up the company to make it affordable for cancer patients.I once enquire
Would love to know the cost of this. I was once quoted insurance for more than the cost of the holiday and generally stick to the UK now. It can be obscenely expensive.

When she says 'highly recommend' it really annoys me. Does she not know we don't get given free trips to try these recommendations.
