She might be quiet today. Her fellow Women’s Best ambassador, Trina Cleary, just passed. Trina did more to raise awareness than Nick and the comments reflect that dedication. If Nick is reading them, she might be reflecting on her grubby grifting ways.
Or not.
Agreed. The silence will be so people worry, she garners sympathy and BOOM ….. a timely injection into the GFM!! Tada!!!! Grifting cow.I refuse to believe Nick has any capacity for self reflection. She’s just too selfish.
It could be possible, I've looked after a young woman with metastatic bowel cancer which had spread to her hip and she was given a hip replacementI ask this question in full ignorance of bone mets, but are hip replacements not an option for Nicky?
No. Shes a stage 4 terminal breast cancer patient with extensive bone mets & unstable disease. They wouldn’t even entertain a hip replacement for many reasons - the risk of infection alone would render it a no.I ask this question in full ignorance of bone mets, but are hip replacements not an option for Nicky?
Not so...the patient I'd looked after ( 20 years ago) was stage 4 colorectal cancer with extensive bone mets in hip, pelvis ( and liver) ....she was deemed suitable- she was only 23 at time of hip replacementNo. Shes a stage 4 terminal breast cancer patient with extensive bone mets & unstable disease. Stage 4 BREAST cancer is terminal. Incurable. Not so...the patient I'd looked after ( 20 years ago) was stage 4 colorectal cancer with extensive bone mets in hip, pelvis ( and liver) ....she was deemed suitable- she was only 23 at time of hip replacement

SurgeryTreatment for secondary bone cancer
The aim of treatment is usually to control the cancer and your symptoms. It can also prevent problems developing. Treatments include hormone therapy, radiotherapy, bisphosphonates and chemotherapy.www.cancerresearchuk.org
Your doctor might suggest you see the surgeon. This is to see if they can help strengthen weakened bones. This is not a very common treatment. It includes having metal pins put in, or a joint replaced (such as a hip joint).
Surgery can also help fix a fracture in a weakened bone.
You may have rods put in to stabilise and strengthen your spine if you have cancer there.
This is not the case....there are numerous medical papers discussing the benefits of hip replacement/ fixation in terminally ill patients with bone mets...Stage 4 BREAST cancer is terminal. Incurable.
stage 4 Bowel/colorectal cancer is not. Thats why theres a difference

guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one
Trina Cleary had a hip replacement and she was stage 4 breast cancer. This is the reason I asked.not for stage 4 breast cancer.
Where were her mets, what treatment was she on, was she stable etc.Trina Cleary had a hip replacement and she was stage 4 breast cancer. This is the reason I asked.
There's loads of woman in the stage 4 BC groups that have had hip replacements due to mets. Just because your terminal/stage 4 does not mean you are not entitled to have the same quality of life as someone who is not. We can live for years (even with unstable disease) I don't know the case with NNl as to why she has not got that option, perhaps due to unstable disease.No. Shes a stage 4 terminal breast cancer patient with extensive bone mets & unstable disease. That’s a really good point, and considering her dad (PapaBear?) also had cancer you’d think the entire family would be out there advocating and fund raising, but especially GreedyNick with her large followingSo refreshing to see Deborah James' family out and about raising money for cancer charities, as they continue to do in her honour. I find this in marked contrast to what the likes of Nicky are doing, ie, not much.
Trina Cleary had chemo, radiotherapy and a mastectomy and at first was given the all clear but had a persistent pain in her thigh and then neck. Her scan showed extensive mets in her hip, femur, spine and neck. She had a partial hip replacement a couple of years ago as the cancer had destroyed her hip bone and she was non weight bearing due to pain and bone turned to cancerous tissue. She did put up a very brave fight but it got her in the end and she passed yesterday. She had a recent diagnoses of spread to the brain for which she had radio. She also had a tattoo following (11.11) I noticed a long time ago Nicky was following her.Where were her mets, what treatment was she on, was she stable etc.
